If he truly hand picked "TB5" .. then probably not. However, most stories state that Brady wanted TB5 and Hurney wanted to save his job by attmpting to bringing a potential "franchise QB" ... lol

handpicking TB isn't as bad as Sam.

If we draft a QB I would hope they would set him and let him learn. We're paying darnold next year so let him take the brunt of the beatings due to the BS line....don't turn him into happy feet darnold by subjecting him to punishment right off the bat... no quick fix with rhule...fact.

Not that Teddy was “the answer” but the offense looked significantly better last year. And he would have been a good “bridge QB” for a young guy to learn from. I bet Rhule did not like Teddy because he was questioning how the offense and team was being run and that is why he is gone.

In fairness to Rhule, nobody saw the long snapper acquisition coming.  Then Boom--our practice squad has a long snapper.

late with this joke

The kicker is Rhule did pick a long safety and had about he same success as his QB picking skills. TMJ having a poor rookie showing and not picking Trey Smith over an LS that was IR'd to save face are my biggest draft WFTs.

An issue has been trying to look so "we don't accept mediocrity" to the point where you're digging a hole.  We're throwing out what could be short-term acceptable and look flippant, wasting picks, throwing away respectable change for what turns out to be even worse crap.

Teddy B has shown he can manage a situation.  He's the most prototypical bridge QB you can get which was fine for what we needed.  Problem being, there was clearly rough waters between Teddy, Brady & Rhule, with Teddy being the first to go.  So now Rhule has shown he couldn't coexist with Cam, Teddy, & Brady.  Pretty damning.

Rather than riding him (edit: or really anything )out, just like we could have done with Cam, we now don't even have Rhule's 1st OC or 1st QB before his second season is even done.  It's now made us look super unappealing, and will only accept excellence out of the gate.  No development here, no true team building.

He absolutely sucks and doesn't deserve to pick a waterboy.  I REALLY hope Tepper's silence is just waiting for Monday to make the move 99% of the franchise knows he needs to make.  Culture, roster build, everything needs to be steered back into an at least respectable direction.

We look like a slimy, conniving JV squad.

Yep. And the funny thing is Rhule and Teddy both suck and are both wrong lol....

This is crazy to think about...

In back to back seasons he was allowed to select a QB and use valuable assets (Cap for Teddy // Draft picks for Sam) to acquire ''his'' guy.

With another supposed ''Rhule'' guy on the horizon, is there going to be a 3rd?

His third QB pick was PJ Walker

    • Not sure who said it first, but Tepper is the correct answer. Still, I'm gonna go with Kasay keeping it inbounds. If, you subscribe to the butterfly effect version of time travel consequences.... When we win SBXXXVIII everybody's lives change: Moose never breaks his leg, We win it all again in 05. Tommy Jone is unknown and Peppers stays home, Champs once more 2008. No artificial pig heart turning JR into a creepy weirdo, no lockout, no Clausen. Fox and Jake ride off into the sunset on their own terms. No 2-14, no #1 pick. But, no laptop, no Blinn, 3 years behind The Golden Calf of Bristol, we still get Cam. JR let's him grow his locs like he always wanted, Smitty sees Cam in a new light. Dreads swinging, (and Smitty with his 3 Lombardis behind him) Cam is old enough to get those calls. No Manning narrative, Cotchery TD, PI against Talib on Philly Brown, 10,000 RTP calls and Kony Ealy SB50 MVP. No Jeans Fridays, no Tepper. KB doesn't slip on his own meatsweat mid-route in SD, Cam becomes the 1st QB to win 10 straight SBs. Retiring after being elected 47th president of the US of A, Cam ushers in the Permanent Proletarian Revolution across the globe, Xi Jinping bows in awe. "ẄøŘƙƐṛ§ őF ŧĤə ŵØRłð, ŮŊÏŦƐ!!!"
    • Yeah your right the owner was copping hand shandies while all this was going down
    • I mean not surprised the Patriots took him in and aren't trying to push him out. They've been the most morally bankrupt team in the NFL for a long while. Wouldn't be surprised if Vrabel has his own dirt on Kraft/Brady and other assholes from that organization over the last couple decades.
