Thank You, JJ Jansen

Today likely brings to an end the era of JJ Jansen as the Panthers' long snapper. He's had the job over three decades, since 2009, and ranks second all-time in Panther history in games played. He's also been an excellent ambassador for the city.

Before Matt Rhule officially replaces him with a garbage-ass downgrade, as is his specialty, here's a tip of the cap to one of the few, the proud, the actually likable.

This is getting stupid, there's no need to take every single thing as a negative.

Do we want Rhule gone? Yes.

Is this JJ's last game? Perhaps.

Is his replacement a garbage ass downgrade? Who the hell knows.

Give the kid a chance and stop acting like the world is falling and everything will be doom and gloom, instead wish the kid luck cause he does have big shoes to fill.

Well he very clearly lost the job to JJ and apparently had a few bad snaps in camp.

This isn't a "developmental" position. You need to be good at it from day one.

Does Baylor have a long snapper we can pick up for a high draft pick?

Thanks JJ for being rock solid throughout your career.  Respectfully speaking we hope you won't be missed on GameDay.  I sure hope the rookie was soaking up everything you taught him all season. 

But you will be remembered as one of the best longsnappers to ever snap a ball.

I appreciate your perspective but Fletch will always be the guy we took instead of Trey Smith. He also looked horrible pre-season before he got “injured.”
