I’m not suggesting this is what we will end up with, but these are the players currently under contract.

I think we can all agree QB, OL, and LB are question marks. But there are some solid building blocks (skill positions on O, backfield of D).

Currently under contract through ‘22-23 season:

‘22 Panthers:

QB- Darnold, ?
RB- CMC, Hubbard
WR- DJ Moore, Anderson, Marshall, Smith
TE- Tremble
OT- Moton, Erving, Christensen
OG- Daley, Brown, Moore, Jordan
C- Elflein?, Tecklenburg

DT- Brown, Roy, Nixon, Hoskins
DE- Burns, Fox, YGM
LB- Shaq, Martin, ???
DB- Horn, Henderson, Bouye, Pride, Taylor, Thomas-Oliver
S- Chinn, Franklin, Hartsfield, Robinson

Special teams: Fletcher, Charlton, K?

CMC will not be on this team next year. I didn’t think he SHOULD be on the team last year. But now I’m pretty sure Tepper and Fitterer are seeing what a giant screw up Hurney was by signing another huge running back deal. CMC is a great player for a team that can contend. We used to be that at the beginning of his career. As soon as it appeared we weren’t that he should have been traded.

I'm almost positive we are going after either Trubisky or Mariota in the offseason.

If we don't, prepare for Pickett at 6.

Yeah it’s a crap QB market and those seem to be the type they’d try to fall to if Darnold continues to sh*t the bed.

The OL1 or die crowd better prepare themselves.

The QB market now, is going to look very different come March.... There will be a few names let go, put on the block, and asking for trades. Its going to be wild this offseason.

    • And that makes you right.
    • Mel Kiper said he would retire if Jimmy Clausen wasn't a successful NFL starter too. Just because the experts make a claim doesnt mean it's true either.  Bryce may be a serviceable QB for someone. Serviceable QBs don't bring you a perennial winner or lead you to the playoffs over and over. Serviceable QBs also dont get 50m plus per year deals which is what a Bryce extension would look like.  The stats show he hasn't been even a serviceable QB in the 3 years he's been here. The eye test shows he hasn't put together 2 franchise QB salary games back to back in 3 years.  Complain all you want about people being negative, but people pointing out that Bryce is held to a different standard than anyone else on the team isn't complaining. It's stating the obvious.
    • We have big bodied WRs and 3 TEs who all have potential and each bring something different to the table. I never saw the need to go out there and try and find a new starting TE.  While it's nice to have a guy like McBride, Bowers, etc, I think a team's better use of the cap is by having TEs on rookie contracts or cheap vets, not having to pay elite TE money.
