What’s your pitch to Aaron Rodgers to come to Carolina

Rhule is trying to get a bachelor's and graduates degree here at Teppers and the franchises expense and reputation.

Ain't nobody got time for Fhule to be learning on the job. Tepper got conned.

Yup Zac Taylor needed a few more good players to start winning. Rhule had enough talent to win a few more games and make it to the wildcards at least. Just has no idea what to do when the games actually start and the game plan needs to be adjusted. You can't be having your coaching staff learning how to call a game during the season. That's why people like Zac Taylor spend 6-7 Jay Z years as NFL position coaches before getting the HC job

His cap and personality would be a lot to take on. Plus we arent the type of desitination he would want to land anyways

I bet many in the Buc's fan base felt that way personally about Tom Brady before he signed with Tampa.  Heck, for a SB or two, I could even have tolerated Brady being here.  I'm sure it's revisionist history now down there.  But for years outside of the northeast, Brady was not a very popular person.

I agree. I personally like Aaron Rodgers. However, after seeing how social media is treating him today, I just think he would bring a lot of distraction.

Lot of talk about no quick fixes in the offense but Aaron Rodgers would literally be a quick fix. For the right price (emphasis on right) and Rhule getting the fug out of his own and putting his own ego (the least believable part of the whole thing) then it doesn't seem that out there.

Theres familiarity with McAdoo who was his previous QB coach. A trio of weapons in CMC, Moore  and Robby that while each had their own set backs last year are still on paper as good as any 3 skill players in the league when healthy.

Then factor in he'd only be making 8 million more than Sam Darnold next year... LOL.

Give em a 1st next year (no way I move 6 for a max of 3 years with Rodgers) and a couple mid rounders you could take a LT with 6 or trade down and get the Iowa C and a couple other picks. You'd now have the extra appeal of getting a LT like Armstead and be rocking and rolling next year with a nasty OL, a top 3 QB and enough weapons to prevent the box being stacked for CMC and a system that could utilize him more as a receiver to ease the wear and tear.

    • These kickers are getting so good
    • They're pretty far off, double T-Mac's stats to get to the same targets as XL and it would be 4 drops to 7.  A 3 drop difference might not sound like a lot, but it's still almost twice as many drops on the same number of targets. Not to mention, if I remember correctly, XL's drop problems last year seemed more down field, where he was dropping passes he should be making and it was clear his poor hands were there reason he dropped them. And weren't both of T-Mac's drops this year on quick hitters with blockers out in front of him?  I know at least the second one was as he was going to go for a huge play and maybe a TD on it. To me, and yes, I'd say this about any other player, those are drops because a rookie was trying to do too much in making a play before securing the catch.  Much easier to improve upon a lapse in concentration than dropping passes because you have bricks for hands and body catch more often than hands catch, like with XL. And yes, 100%, which is why I wasn't one of those people you were referring to with talking about him that way last year.  Yes, I said he had drop problems., because he did, but I didn't think they were unsolvable and expected to see great improvement this year after an offseason of hitting the juggs machine (unfortunately not sure that happened though).
