Sheena Quick in Twitter said expect for us to be linked to any qb available, just the mess we are in right now. So, this won’t be the last we hear of phone calls for QBs.

Just telegraph it why don't they.  Nothing like driving up the price letting the league know you're desperate.

Tepper should have fired Rhule, he will destroy this team for years to come. Dumb moves and things like this will set us back for years.

He's incredibly expensive and the cost to trade for him is most likely not worth what the end result would be. He does not elevate the team around him so he is not worth it.

This should be the crux of the argument against the Panthers going after Cousins.

Panthers would just be digging the hole they're already in that much deeper.

Yep.

Rhule is an awful head coach and all that but firing Rhule doesn’t solve this organizations biggest problem…

David Tepper

We’re honestly so f*cked

What is becoming abundantly clear is that Tepper might very well be an insurmountable problem.

No lies detected.

With his Soccer team looking like a major bust he's gonna start freaking out and making everyones life on staff a complete nightmare. An owner micromanaging Rhule who is also micromanaging his staff is a recipe for disaster. Two rich idiots who would be worthless in a real life apocalypse where money doesn't mean anything.

    • Will be interesting to see how the Caps adjust. They were thoroughly beaten in this game despite it going to OT and they knew it by getting chippy. If they lose game 2 they’re in a hole they might not be able to dig themselves out of. They played old and tired tonight and I think they might get swept.
    • He makes a good point about Wallace.  In fairness to Wallace it is hard to play your position as freely as you need to when your defensive line is getting pushed around like ragdolls.  One of the greatest attributes a defensive line has is sucking up blocks, freeing up your linebackers.  Our defensive line couldn't suck up a lollipop more or less blocks.  I think Evans, Sanders and Tremble are going to be a really nice TE group.  I can see all three getting time on the field.  If Sanders can improve as a blocker teams won't be so inclined to believe it is a pass play whenever Sanders is on the field.  Ryan Fitzgerald, I think was an awesome pick-up. Hopefully he can fill our kicker void. Luke Kandra many turn out to be our next Norwell.  Everything I have heard about him says he's a beast.  He needs some refinement, but the good news is he's got Hunt and Lewis (arguably the best guard tandem in the league) to learn from.
    • Great teams build through the draft and have several young players that start that are on rookie contracts. It's important to hit on players in rounds 4 thru 7.  These should be future starters and solid depth.  When you hit on most of your picks you free up a lot of cap space for those one- or two-year players to fill spots you are thin at. No GM is going to perfect on all their picks.  You're going to whiff every once in a while.  That was Hurney problem.  He'd nail the first pick but after that it was reach after reach and we couldn't get any depth on this team. I'm excited about Morgan as our GM and hopefully he'll be around a long time.  It will be even better if Canales can continue to grow as a head coach, both in the development of young players and play calling. I remember last season after Young came back in the lineup and started to perform well.  We saw different plays I had only seen other teams use.   If Canales's play design and play calling continue to grow. Morgan and Canales will be linked together for a long time.  It would be nice to see a Coach and GM together for a decade or two. Go Panthers
