The Tepper hate is way overboard on here. He's only had the team a few years, he did the right thing by not immediately making changes like a lot of owners do but evaluate the current regime, he's been aggressive in trying to get a franchise QB according to sources and doesn't mind paying any amount for the coaching staff. He took a gamble on Rhule (who was a hot coaching candidate btw) and possibly lost, and now he's a "football dumbass"? Is there anyone on here that really could have done better? Almost all of you would have hired Rhule and exactly all of you were orgasming over the Joe Brady hire.

No way in hell I would have ever hired Rhule. I said from the start when the report came out, he SUCKS A$$

Haha. Aaron Wilson is extremely well connected in league circles. To have him state that we hired someone to look into it and STILL wanna go all in and are willing to do anything to land him tells you Tepper is comfortable pulling the trigger.. Panther nation like it or not Watson is on his way.. and with Tepper manning the controls at whatever cost.

RW - IMO a safer, more accomplished Qb just got traded for an extremely reasonable price.

Basically a bunch of B list players and two first round picks (one of which isn’t named yet and if the Broncos are good will be at the bottom).

Ideally Fitt can swing a trade down and turn #6 into multiple 1st round picks. But even if he can’t my offer would be

2022 1st

2023 1st

CMC

Derrick Brown

for

Watson and 2022 2nd

Watson imo would be equal to 2 first round picks and Derrick Brown. CMC is equal to 2nd rounder just bc we’re getting Watson in the deal.

Like others have said I'm not even fully convinced the Texans will trade him unless Watson has truly made it clear he's never playing there again. Despite what he's said in the past I could still see him playing there again.

If he's being traded, there's other teams with far more resources than the Panthers that can make a deal. The Eagles have 3 first round picks just this year. Seattle has more resources now. Pittsburgh is a far more desirable franchise to play for. New Orleans might make a push. I highly doubt the Texans trade Watson to Indy though.

The thing you failed to consider is that no teams will mortgage their future like the Panthers are willing to do. We are not going to be out bid by ourselves dammit.

I have yet to see anything legitimate to indicate the Texans really are willing to trade Ol' Whip-It-Out...

...Whiny Aaron and the Packers patched up their issues, I'm sure Whip-It-Out and Texans can too.

Now do Seattle and Russ!

And what happens when Goodell caves to social media pressure, because we know he will because he has. Look at Ray Rice. The NFL and Goodell did nothing until pressure forced him to. It's about image and Goodell will protect that image. What happens when he puts Watson on the exempt list or suspends him for multiple years? We're talking about a trade for a guy that could be suspended indefinitely and that price tag is 3 1sts 2nds players and the cap hit all without a guarantee he ever steps foot on the field again.

4 years would equate to several years. A few would be 2. Tepper hate is justified because so far he has done exactly zero to warrant anything but hate.

There's two positives from the Watson thing.

If everything works out Friday, we will have a chance to get Watson. And very well will get Watson. Thus, the fan base will want to watch games and be rejuvenated.

If that doesn't happen, and we don't trade for Watson. We will suck this year, and Rhule will be fired. I'm not seeing how this isn't a win/win for the fanbase as a whole.

I don’t want Watson to save Rhule’s job

This place has been overrun by a certain type of poster. As owner, if Tepper doesn't field a winning team, he's depriving them of that feeling of superiority over another fandom that they need to have. It's like withholding drugs from a junkie, and it makes them lash out. If they can't have that winning feeling, then they're going to entertain themselves by doom posting.

So we will have an elite QB with no talent around him and be set back decades. Haven’t we already tried the elite player route with not much talent around him ? This franchise is a rolling circus.

Short memories around here.

If Kraft were the Panthers owner and had delivered 7 Lombardi trophies in 25 years...

...they'd find something to whine about because he's a "billionaire" 🤦‍♂️
