Panthers tied for 29th...

From the article:

Defensive end Brian Burns has been a good pick for Carolina, with 25 1/2 sacks in three seasons and a Pro Bowl nod in 2021. He tallied a ā€œ10ā€ AV last year. Burns’ pressure rate was 10.5 percent in 2021, down from 13.2 percent in 2020. Offensive lineman Dennis Daley has started 21 games during his first three seasons filling in for injured players.

FYI: The other team ranked 29th is the Jets. The two teams ranked lower are the Eagles (31st) and the Bears (32nd).

As to how the ranking was done:

A three-season resume is widely considered the baseline for when NFL teams can begin to accurately evaluate the hits or misses in a draft class. With that in mind, I dove in for another one of my draft audits, using Pro Football Reference’s ā€œApproximate Valueā€ to judge the success or lack thereof of each team’s 2019 class.

An explanation of the methodology the author mentions can be found at the link below...

Yep that's a Hurney draft right there. Yet even after all this ineptitude to look back on and the man in question out of the building finally.. We put new folks in charge who took a hard look at Sam Darnold and thought to themselves: "Yessir this is the guy to save our franchise!" šŸ˜‚šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø

    • FLA showed everyone it’s not about superstars. they bullied the best line in the NHL into obscurity. they played hard, were in the right positions, and ran over everything that got in their way.
    • That’s really not what you said and when I even expressed doubt as to your intentions with the post you doubled down and remained unclear on whether you were trying to drag Dean Smith for whatever reason. You justĀ got the facts wrong, which if you don’t follow the local college programs like you say then maybe you just were mistaken and thought Smith didn’t win championships or have legit superstars, and that is ok, but you just doubled down when my first post was more corrective than anything.Ā I’m not sure what you expect posting objectively false things like ā€œRBAĀ has a lot of wins with nothing to show for it like Dean Smithā€ (paraphrasing) on a message board with plenty of UNC fans. I’m not taking it as a personal affront, we can agree to disagree, Dean Smith’s legacy fortunately will not be affected by this conversation. Screw the (Florida) Panthers?
    • Bring in the free agents and trades. Ā Florida is the best team and unless Tulsky makes it happen, it’s more of the same…which isn’t bad…but it’s time to win a goddamn cup.Ā
