Chinn AND Burns is honestly a deal breaker for me given the pick haul. One or the other should be the line in the sand.

You don't pass on a franchise QB for either of those dudes. Or both. This is silly. They aren't Aaron Donald or prime Von Miller.

Oh c'mon, in for a penny in for a pound. You might as well accept it this is going to happen.

Heres what you tell your girl so learn it as a fan. Relax baby and let it ease in, it only hurts for a little while.  You will learn to love it.

I find this entire fiasco is absolutely hilarious myself.

Even Aaron Donald isn't Aaron Donald to some on here. Someone last night said he was the 2nd best defensive player ever. Like huh?

It's not just those two dudes. It's a LOT more. You can't trade three 1sts and possibly more draft assets plus your two best young defenders. At some point the cost becomes too much to bear.

Yeah, I have a feeling they did as well.  For the Texans guy (McClain) to retweet the deal with Burns and Chinn, and thats pretty much what we've been hearing for over a year, I'll be surprised if that's not the deal.

I expect the following dominos to fall once the trade happens:

Land DW
Sign Terron Armstead
Sign Cam Newton to a one year deal
Sign Aj Klein, jack or littleton
Bring back Dante Jackson/Gilmore

*Donte* but all those moves would make total sense

So best case scenario we're essentially giving up FIVE first round picks for one player who we'll be paying more than 15% of the cap to sooner or later, with a worse roster than the one that just won 5 games in back to back seasons?  Tell me how that's not killing the franchise

    • Question to the posters on this thread because you are knowledgeable--I love watching and pull for the Canes, but I never played so I don't have the understanding I had when I played football then watched it.  Having said that, Do you think we are weak at Center?  I see the team to be pretty strong on the wings, promising defense, and weak at Goalie.  It would be ideal if the Canes had 1 more position to upgrade, not 2.  I don't think you can count on Anderson to play a full season and he is 35.  However, are we solid at Center in your view?
    • Couldn't agree more, Kooch is erratic and Freddy is fragile, maybe save the remaining cap space for a goalie stud at the deadline
    • There is one play that sold me-- it was around 2:38, I think.  It was 4th and 1 and the QB telegraphed and threw the ball out wide to TMac.  He had no blocking (the TE was very late) and four defenders collapsed on TMac behind the LOS. They seemed to know it was coming.  He got hit behind the LOS and battled through several hits to get three yards.  THAT play showed me his fire.
