If he chooses elsewhere and we ask why and Rhules name is mentioned once, that is a fireable offense.

Watson strikes me as the kind of guy who would simply talk about the positives of the place he did chose rather than any negative of a place he didn't chose.

Person: Deshaun, why didn't you choose Carolina?

DW: I just felt ______ was the right place for me (and go on to talk about the good things about _______)

If fans know Watson and Newton are tight, why wouldn't Tepper?  Especially when he's going into trade negotiations with Deshaun?

We can all hate on Rhule, it's well deserved, but the blame rests w/Tepper for continuing to be so clueless as an owner.

YES, it’s ultimately Teppers fault. If he had fired Rhule and brought in Flores, etc DW would be on board.

Who is this guy? Guy with a podcast who was a scout for the Eagles? How does he have any idea what's going on? Seems like people are just finding tweets that fit their preferred reality and posting them in here.

what are you even criticizing

hes just talking about a reality of the nfl

He might not be a legit source but I’d bet he is right.

Watson was so impressed with Rhule and Tepper that he is now entertaining meetings with any team that is potentially interested.

Doesn't look good for the Panthers.  Sounds like we're a fallback plan at this point.

    • I watched a clip of all the offensive snaps. Young threw into some tight coverage and the guys made some plays on the ball. He also really missed some throws.  He has this middle of the field thing into a tight window pretty good and made three or four nice plays but he was just too inconsistent with his accuracy especially in the red zone. Today and in general.    That Int where people were chastising Legette for ‘not fighting through the coverage’, he in no way could have gotten to that ball. IMO. I think he thought it was going to hit the ground and didn’t see the defender coming for it. But not sure what he could have done. The camera doesn’t show the spatial relationship very well, I think the ball was way off. maybe 6 feet or more off target to the inside of the field.  Rico is a beast. And a very good receiver.   That was my impression without dissecting and rewinding, just letting the video roll. I did rewind the int two or three times to look at that one.
    • My biggest issue with keeping Darnold, which I felt we should have done, is we would still have Fitterer. And everything that came with that.  I think Morgan is going to be good.  Baker, just did not play well at all here. Not sure what else we were supposed to take away from it at the time.  That’s my short ‘I don’t want to argue about it’ take.
    • Even if we somehow make the playoffs we will be one and done so fast. Seattle, Rams, TB, Panthers, Detroit and Philly are all better than us.
