Player Bio Overview

It is hard to bet against Chandler considering his toughness, resilience and four years of production. While he does have corner and safety experience, he may lack the instincts and range to make plays from a high safety spot. He's more than tough enough to handle run support duties as a classic strong safety, but he's not as big as teams will like. Chandler has some special teams value and a load of intangibles. He's a good, but limited safety who could become a solid backup.

Strengths

Cornerback experience shows when guarding slot
Always plays under control
Covers kicks and can return punts

Weaknesses

Stocky build is on the borderline for size at the position
Struggles to disengage from big blocking receivers and tight ends
Can be bowled over by runners if pads are too high at impact
Short strider with average field speed
Below average getting over the top in single-high or two-deep
Needs better reaction speed to close on throws in his neighborhood
Has slight hitch before his plant to drive
Lax in getting to deep responsibilities and ends up guarding space
Doesn't shade according to quarterback's eyes
Baited near end zone rather than playing with vision and instincts in coverage

Well, glad to see Rhule still has full control of the roster.

Chandler doesn’t belong anywhere near an NFL roster. He’s a fringe practice squad player at best. Let’s see how many more roster spots Rhule wastes re-signing his old Temple and Baylor guys.

    • Great. Meet me at BOA 6am Saturday morning and we’ll get you started.
    • considering [Dave] Canales enters Year 3 working for an impulsive owner. There’s not much room to slide backwards from an 8-9 season and 13-21 overall record. It doesn’t help that his primary job has been the development of quarterback Bryce Young, and the progress there has been inconsistent. Canales was supposed to turn the former top pick into a franchise quarterback. If that doesn’t happen by next January, the Panthers could be looking for both a new coach and quarterback." —————- The format of that doesn’t display on my iPad I had to paste it as plain text to see it so I am leaving it here to refer to… I am gonna disagree with a lot of that.  First reference is Tepper. That interview posted here a few days back gave me the impression that he is really happy with his FO. And Canales. Seat isn’t even warm as of right now. IMO.  The assertion that Canales is supposed to turn Young into a franchise QB is something I have never bought. First, how could anyone look at 2023Bryce and see a can’t miss Franchise player?  He was for sure a could miss.  I am not sure it was fix Bryce or you are both gone. Maybe that will happen The longer it drags on, I think maybe the more likely a total house cleaning could be an outcome. I mean it is only year 3 of Canales coming up. But as a couple of people like to point out, he has shown other concerning flaws that might damage his stock.  As far as the hot seat, mid season with 2-3 wins I would imagine yeah it would be pretty warm. I think a small regression to say 7 or maybe even 6 wins would be tolerated but the seat is warm for 2027. Depends on the circumstances.
    • Or finish 7th and lose the first game to set up with the Pistons. One they have less playoff experience than the Knicks or Celtics and two cuz fug em that's why
