I'm sure that this has been mentioned, but doesn't it seem odd that there are three NFCS teams involved with motivations to drive up the price for the others?

The NFL probably wants to milk this dry. The buzz, the publicity. They're eating this up.

When a team restructures its entire roster to manipulate the cap you’d think the NFL would have something to say about that. I’m ready to put the stank of this farce behind us.

I think the NFL needs to revisit its salary cap rules. Fake years should be limited in some respect.

EDIT: I would limit years without salary to a maximum of 1.

I am done …. If he wanted to be here, this would have been over …. Tepper, please tell Watson and Texans that we are out, before the final news comes out

If thats the case, why hasnt he chosen the Falcons or Saints yet?

    • Lions were never going Freeling over Miller for the same reason we wouldn't have taken Miller had Freeling not been on the board. Miller is a career RT Lions have a hole at RT, we have a hole at LT. If we took Miller, it would have been for him to backup Moton until he retires and/or we release him, so the best case scenario is it would have been a wasted 1st round pick for at least 1, if not 2 years.  At least Freeling has a shot at playing this year without injury ahead of him, he absolutely can win the LT job if he earns it, but Miller would have never supplanted Moton this year unless he got hurt.
    • What up y’all. I like threads like this where we can stroll down memory lane. I remember the insane amount of site traffic pre-crash when we signed Keyshawn Johnson, 06 I believe. Raging about the Cowboys Christmas Eve loss in 05 (Peppers touched that FG attempt as sure as Cotchery caught it). When I found the huddle I basically had a first born baby, now I’ve got one in college and one in high school. Life comes at you fast, but the Panthers and the Huddle has been a steady constant in my life for many years.  Those who have been here, y’all are cool with me any time any where.    Cheers, genitals!
    • This is a weird post since it wasn’t like we got A’s across the board. We needed a QB and got a consensus top 2 player at that position. (I was pretty vocal that Stroud should’ve been the guy but…)  I think this draft we generally got better value. I’m not particularly optimistic on BY but another year in this offense playing with TMac he really needs to be a consistently average QB at a minimum
