Houston has less say in this than some people think.  If they don't let him go to NO (and DW doesn't waive for us), they get nothing.  And have to pay for it.

It could definitely become a very tough situation for Deshaun if the Panthers are offering the better trade package to the Texans but he decides he wants to go to New Orleans. It could cause the Saints to give up more than they originally offered. Which is good for the Panthers either way.

Winning also doesn’t happen when you change coaches after two years

Any facts for that claim ?

An owner does  what he must to right a franchise.

these names ring a bell   Steve Wilks.  George Seifert  there are others

the Nfl is a different world now

the hole Rhule  has put the Panthers in is  well known and owner enabled it

It’s not the act of changing coaches that prevents the winning though. It’s hiring the wrong coach. Then keeping the wrong coach. We will pay and continue to pay for that regardless of if changing coaches has a negative correlation.

What gets the press and the criticism is often the final result of an event, when the reality is many important things fail due to a series of bad decision-making that preceded the event.

He said it doesn't look good. That's not the same as saying we're out.

Browns are out and he said Panthers headed in the same direction… hence out.  Learn how to read, people.

So Watson travels to meet with Atlanta  (which shows his interest). Saints owner is like “oh hell nah” and flies to Atlanta to meet with him a second time. Meanwhile Tepper and Rhule are sitting on their ass while looking deep in each other’s eyes and saying “we’ve got this boo”. Sounds about right

See, Tepper's mistake was bringing his wife to the meeting ... instead of a handful of cheerleaders.

    • I enjoyed reading this thread and the usual banter that follows. The only silver lining I can identify right now is we do actually have a couple of young QB's behind him and we do have a nice roster on both sides of the ball built around the most important position. So if the team overall shows some promise but we still falter largely due to a lack of consistent passing output (again) hopefully the decision makers can be free to make the best decision for the team going forward after the conclusion of this upcoming season.
    • I don't really follow the team anymore due to a variety of reasons and consequently have largely stopped posting but I agree that this is a lovely website and community. This forum probably kept me around for years longer than I would've stuck otherwise because of how difficult it was to stop checking multiple times a day. Especially appreciate how lax the moderation tends to be compared to a lot of places, the crew here does a great job. Out of curiousity I decided to try making a new account (solely for testing purposes) to see what exactly is wrong with the sign up process. The issue seems to be that it never sends you an account verification email, thus making it impossible to complete registration. This is likely something to do with the email server upstream, hope it gets fixed. Also, lol
    • Uh oh, Nicole Tepper hugged him. In all seriousness though every time I see more about him my hopes get higher. Smart, great attitude, prototype size and measurables, and athletic. He could be a great one.
