No official word. but reports say that New Orleans has cleared cap room and is meeting with DW again today?  Atlanta has a 4pm deadline before a Ryan bonus kicks in,,,,

NO already met with Watson last night. There is no news about anymore meetings today.

NO goes from Brees, in cap hell, but figures out how to get Watson. Panthers have Darnold and maybe a resigned broken down Cam...that stadium will be empty next year.

Stop it. Failed narrative. The guy came back like a friggin' bull and from what he did last season, coming off his couch mind you, he deserves the job.

I don't understand people doubting QB1 with the stellar career he's had college and pro's. You should be pulling for Cam. I forgot people hated on Jake even before TommyJane so, carry on.

They already met with him last night. If falcons don’t trade Ryan by 4 it’s over for them which leaves us vs the saints.   I think this gets wrapped up today or tomorrow. Tomorrow should really be the final day if it’s the two left.

so they met LAST NIGHT for the second time?  Was not sure the meeting had gone down yet.  Trying to get work done and keep up.  I could do it, were it not for that damn Garry Cobb fella.

I would have rather the Panthers never pursued Watson at all.

Tepper took down the statue of Jerry Richardson and made it a primetime news event.

Then he turns around and outwardly simps for an accused sexual predator for over a year only to be rejected.

Have some freaking conviction to your moral character dude.

Watson’s career record is 28 and 25. You have to have the pieces around you, by merely acquiring him you are making it more difficult. We are not as ready as the Rams were when they traded for Stafford. Build the team through the draft and smart acquisitions. It remains to be seen if his image can be rehabilitated enough to be the face of a franchise.

Cool.. I'm excited to have a team and a chance for something to happen.. Even if we don't get Watson.. I still like the roster and can see improvement with better more experienced coaching..

It won't happen. 5 wins on deck. QB situation is still garbage. You can't win well without a good QB.

This is not the thread for logic or rational thoughts!!!

    • We agree here dawg. I'd love for Bryce to succeed as would all huddlers. I have not seen a single huddler hate Bryce for anything other than his play on the field / potential / skillset. He hasn't gotten any of the irrational hate having nothing to do with football that Cam got. And yeah I understood going into this season with Bryce again as there weren't a ton of options, but man we missed the fuging mark on upgrading at backup QB with someone who could actually push Bryce. Bryce had zero pressure on him with a 100% washed up Dalton being the only other NFL caliber QB in the system. That absolutely needs to change this offseason. Ideally with an actual starter upgrade but that seems extremely unlikely due to not having many FA options and a bad draft. But at the very least with someone like you mentioned, young/upside and/or day 3 pick in the draft.   Another note, we have a top paid and top performing OL, great young talent at WR incl. likely OROY, great RB group, average all around TE group, offensive coach with creativity in the system and good play designs (poor situational playcalling but still I put out current offensive coaching staff over Shula who held Cam back for instance). Not the absolute best situation for a QB to be in, but still a very good situation around him. And yet we have a bottom 8 offense (6th lowest points scored). Imagine taking a victory lap for a QB leading his team to the 6th lowest points scored in the league and the 22nd highest passer rating (despite being asked to do less than many other QBs; i.e. Bo Nix who isn't great either and has a slightly lower passer rating but Sean Payton actually lets him try to throw the ball deep and has him throw significantly more than Bryce). Crazy
    • similar to Atlanta and the NHL.  Atlanta has lost two NHL teams (and lost a minor leaguer).  Now there's another coalition pulling together another proposal for Atlanta to get an NHL expansion. While I'd like hockey to be back in Atlanta 'cause hockey is fun, I am skeptical that it'll happen based on previous teams' experience here alternatively: similar to Atlanta hosting a Major Tennis Tournament in advance of the US Open every mid/late summer.  Aside from the fact that Atlanta is said to be the country's largest Tennis playing city (with both USTA and ALTA, along with a number of side leagues) - playing tennis outdoors in Atlanta summer is miserable *and* they had difficulty attracting players... ticket sales were not good. So the Atlanta Open closed after 14 years.  They just couldn't make it happen, even if for all intents it appears to be massive tennis interest in the surrounding area.
    • So I saw where Luke was doing that show parallel to the game. Whatever it was, statcast something something, knew it would be a good watch. I don’t get ESPN any more but that would be one of the about few things I would watch outside of games.     He doesn’t fool around on the radio broadcast.
