Arthur blank went after Watson, not Fontenot. Owners own their teams, they have final say. As fans, we only have opinions

My opinion is that Tepper is ass. I point to a historically mediocre franchise being in the midst of their worst stretch of success in team history since he bought the team for my reasoning.

You don’t learn if you don’t try. Hopefully him failing … doesn’t change his “I want it, I’ll try my damn way to get it” attitude

The dude could have folded over a long time ago but stayed persistent  … he has his flaws but that’s a good strength to have in an owner

Honestly, if it becomes known that the Texans/DW were trying to milk him for more & what crashed the deal was his refusal, I'd gain respect for him as an owner.

Also anyone here trying to guilt trip others. Your team was literally willing to give up the farm and extend deshaun. So any morality you feel means you should stop supporting the panthers in any way based on that fact alone. They went after this guy hard for a year so you should be done with this team regardless if we landed him or not. Stay consistent.

Some of us really never wanted him. I find it hard to believe everyone employed by the Panthers wanted him even if they could not say so publicly. Some of us pull for the Panthers in spite of Tepper, not because of him. There are probably some Panthers  Players who really privately did not want him either. I think it’s a mistake to paint everyone with a broad brush.

Someone tell me about Mariota? Last time i

ssaw him he pulled his quad on a qb draw.

He played on a 4 million dollar contract last year and is better than anything we have. Draft a QB and give him a shot in the meantime. Costs no draft capital and can probably get him for 8-10m

I did a breakdown on terry pegula in the other thread, basically tepper is following his footsteps step by step. Took Terry about 6 years to figure it out. I assume the same for tepper.

Not gonna lie, im gonna miss all that bonding we did over those Watson threads. It was nice to not have to open a thread to read “tepper sucks” and “this is the worst franchise in the history of the league”

Absolutely brother…that was fun and your attention to this was so appreciated.  Hang in there man…things will work out

I’m not against this idea, but we need to sign armstead or Bozeman first

    • Umm yeah. When did he get it done at the right time? I seem to remember a 4-6 finish and needing Atlanta to win our way into the playoffs but whatever.
    • I mean....no lies detected. See above. We have traded a fortune to draft a guy #1 overall that people have lowered standards for to the point that not playing like Jimmy Clausen and looking like a poor man's Kyle Allen occasionally is worthy of a contract extension making him one of the highest paid QB's in the league. That is cope on steroids.
    • summary: "let's talk about your draft, what did you think about Freeling" Dan:   guys with a huge upside, can come in and compete to start.  High ceiling "he does what for your offense?" Dan:   it's hard to find left tackles, guys that big and athletic.  We have Icky coming off an injury, we signed Walker, I believe your offensive line can never be too strong.  If we're going to win the game, it's gotta be up front on both sides of the ball, so we make a point of emphasis on making both sides of the front as strong as possible. "how many mocks did you see Monro falling to you." Not many times, left tackles are gonna go a lot earlier than when we took him.  We want to add the best player, in free agency or the draft"  that's our philosophy, to get the best players possible. "Hunter and Brazzell." Dan:  we followed the board.  Lee we felt very highly of him , super strong.  Brazzel so flexible and loose, can open the verticle.  Will Lee we held in high regard. "you take a look at your receiver room, Coker, my goodness, your offensive rookie of the year in Tet.  Lost Rico, but there is Jonathan Brooks. " Brooks coming off two knee injuries, he worked his way back, looking great, fully healthy, will help in pass and run game.  Icky, not sure when he's coming back but we're excited about both "plan on extending Bryce" we'll keep talking, will keep internally.  We believe in him, has such a great grasp of Canales and offense, has improved every year. "he's clearly come back from the benching, the arrow is trending up, where does he feel" Bryce knows where we stand with him, when and if a deal gets done, he knows we feel great with him, we'll get something done at the right time. "if this a prove it situation?" everyone in the building has to prove it, has to earn it. Tmac was everything we wanted, his work ethic, he's so big and talented, but he puts the work in, and is a great teammate. "your level of expectation, the building's level of expectation for 2026 "our goal is to win the division every year, we know we have to earn it.  we have to put the work in every day, proving it on the practice field, and our  guys know that." "schedule" we haven't opened at home in 2 or 3 years.  We love prime time games, hope we get some "
