IMO, the video clips are for the fans...much more important is the chance to spend a LOT of time with him. his coach, his teammates, hell, can even speak with a professor or two.

At this point anyone looking at him should know about his arm...what they may not know is what's between his ears.

Chunking it deep to your favorite pass catcher isn't important to me at all, then again, I'm not Al Davis or Matt Rhule.

I agree with you on the in person meeting to gauge his demeanor, football IQ, etc. My problems is with the actual passing drills. You can see arm strength, ball placement and footwork. That's about it. All the above are on game tape.

I liken it watching a guy shoot 3 point shots in a gym by himself. He may drain them all day long. I want to know what he can do when a defender gets in his face. I need to know if he can create/make a shots in game situations.

The best long term pick would be malik imo

the best short term pick would be Pickett

which is why I think we pick Pickett unless rhule is completely boxed out on draft day and Scott has been given assurances he’s here long term.

If you started Malik day 1 you’d have to plan your offense around backyard football style in the passing game and have a very strong run game with a good defense. Closest comp I could see is RW rookie year in Seattle with beast mode. That would be the goal for this upcoming year. He’s just gonna need time to grow in the pocket. If we actually did pick Malik and he was named starter you’d have to beat into his head to not turn the ball over and on crucial downs use your special traits.

pickett would open things up more for us day 1 passing wise but long term I think this dudes ceiling is a fringe starter.

So what you're saying is we need to punt on QB right now lol

I'm with you, I think the drills are window dressing...but that's what get's the fans excited.

Guess we know what our first 4th round draft pick will be now.

I believe the last longsnapper drafted, was when the Detroit Lions took one from Baylor.

https://www.nfl.com/news/long-snapper-jimmy-landes-shocked-he-got-drafted-0ap3000000659331

Baylor long-snapper Jimmy Landes was more surprised than just about anyone that the Detroit Lions decided to spend a sixth-round pick on him.

"I was very surprised," Landes told MLive.com. "I was expecting free agency, just because I know how rare long snappers get drafted. I wasn't expecting anything in the draft."

Landes was the only long-snapper invited to the combine and, according to the MLive piece, is one of four true long-snappers to ever be drafted.

    • Idk man, I think it’s necessary.  There’s people working 9-5s everyday that get told poo about what they aren’t and what they’re not capable of and they’re working for scraps.  These guys are making millions.  People are watching and invested because their team and fandom is a part of their identity and a big source of pride.  When someone like Bryce comes in and is given chance after chance after chance after proving he is not worthy of the position he’s being gifted, and he continues to be the biggest reason above any that we are losing, yeah…  I think it’s fair to call a spade a spade.  Am I saying Bryce the person is trash?  Bryce the person is a piece of poo?  Absolutely not.     I came up in an era, especially in basketball, where if you were fuging up people heckled the poo out of you.  I played in rec leagues as a teen where the fuging parents were calling kids trash and yelling poo like “TURNOVER!!!  TURNOVER!!!”  “CANT DRIBBLE!”  “CANT SHOOT!”  And that’s adults screaming that poo to kids like we were in the fuging Rucker lol.🤣🤣🤣  I went on to play basketball at a collegiate level and with professional players in different settings.  What those experiences as a kid taught me was to see if there is any merit to what people are saying, and if there is, then work my ass off til they can’t say that anymore.  Come back better, tougher, harder.  And I did.  If kids can figure that poo out, an adult calling another adult who is bad at his job while making millions and millions of dollars will be just fine.
    • I have tried to like this team, lord knows I have tried. BY9 is a nice young man, if I had a daughter he can take her to prom, but he ain't QB1 and he's not Cam or Delhomme Chuba is a average RB, he isn't Stephen Davis, he isn't J-Stew McMillan has the makings of a good WR, but he isn't 89/Moose D. Brown is a great player, but if the game was on the line I want Kris Jenkins       I miss this brand of football, even in the bad Jake games the games were entertaining It has been nearly 8 years now of watching numb football
    • I'm not so sure. Something about the whole Frank/Bryce situation seemed off from day 1. Bryce didn't fit Frank's QB mold as well as Stroud, then he basically gives up when Bryce is named starter in preseason but gets virtually no reps in games. Then he looks completely unprepared and Dalton steps in in Seattle, has a decent game under immense pressure, and it's right back to Bryce. All his mechanics are terrible and he's having the worst rookie season ever and Frank doesn't bench him?  You dont have to be a conspiracy theorist to know Bryce wasn't ready to be a day 1 starter. Everything with Bryce, then coaches, and the FO seemed forced.
