I agree with latter statement. He still has a year left on his deal, so if we traded for him we'd only be on the hook for the last year of his rookie deal. If we acquired Baker, the 2022 would be his prove it season.

Note: This was in reply to a post by "scratched". I forgot to quote the text in my reply.

He is on the 5th year option.  So, if you trade for him, he brings the same 1 yr, 18ish million fully guaranteed contract darnold has.

Most likely, he is gonna want an extension real soon if traded.

It is basically a wash and Baker was turrible last year.  He is not good

Damn I was just reading Browns want a first for Baker. Lol fug that, keep him for a backup

I can see why they’d ask for that. But teams at the end of the 1st have QBs and teams at the top aren’t giving up a top 12 pick for him.

I actually think he could be good with our cast around him. Frees us up to take an OT with #6. I wouldn’t hate it.

    • FLA showed everyone it’s not about superstars. they bullied the best line in the NHL into obscurity. they played hard, were in the right positions, and ran over everything that got in their way.
    • That’s really not what you said and when I even expressed doubt as to your intentions with the post you doubled down and remained unclear on whether you were trying to drag Dean Smith for whatever reason. You just got the facts wrong, which if you don’t follow the local college programs like you say then maybe you just were mistaken and thought Smith didn’t win championships or have legit superstars, and that is ok, but you just doubled down when my first post was more corrective than anything. I’m not sure what you expect posting objectively false things like “RBA has a lot of wins with nothing to show for it like Dean Smith” (paraphrasing) on a message board with plenty of UNC fans. I’m not taking it as a personal affront, we can agree to disagree, Dean Smith’s legacy fortunately will not be affected by this conversation. Screw the (Florida) Panthers?
    • Bring in the free agents and trades.  Florida is the best team and unless Tulsky makes it happen, it’s more of the same…which isn’t bad…but it’s time to win a goddamn cup.
