Everyone has preferences. Some want Pickett, some want Willis, some want a LT and wait. If we get a FA LT, then I want Pickett. If not, I'm good with a LT and wait tile next year for a QB

I think I want Corral.  Just putting it out there for the Huddle to absorb.

After trading with the Steelers to move up.

The hype behind this kid is insane.  But it's being gobbled down hook, line and sinker.  All because he threw in shorts in a scripted environment that he rehearsed for like everyone does.

Tomorrow the fawning will be over Corral.

Confirmation biases you see in everything you desire has run amuck.

Misinformation is rampant and everyone is trying to make a buck.

Chill.

Some folks are very sensitive about Matt Rhule 😂

I know 🤣. The thing is I don’t hate nor love Matt. I am mostly indifferent and think that he is a coach that is growing into the role rather than be qualified for it in the first place. Tepper has visions of him eventually becoming Chuck Knoll, but never said how long that would take…

Still, I was just making an observation.

Personally.. I like Willis. If he is there I have no problem taking him. Even if he isn't ready day 1 you can weaponize him get him into the game on some packages as he develops. If a team trades up into the top 5 for him great as well.. I think that means Neal, Hamilton, icky gets pushed down. This is nothing but good either way.

I don't think Willis is going to be that good, but in general I'd be okay with the idea of taking a quarterback to develop. Rookies waiting a year or so before starting has always been my preference.

The problem with that this year is you have a head coach who needs to win now to save his job.

So while you or I might be okay with the idea, Matt Rhule is likely to feel different.

Except he came out of the senior bowl qb1 defeating the same guys we are talking about now in practice and against air.

To me--based on his pro day--hard to watch Liberty film when his receivers were not great and his OL was not great and the opposition was not great---he seems like the total package.  Charisma, character, talent, etc.  I mean, we took Cam #1 when, at the time, there were character concerns (laptop, entertainer and icon comment--which was true) and his accuracy was not great.  Because of the Auburn offense, he was not reading the defense like an NFL QB---so no QB is excused from concern at this point.

Having said that, Detroit is in a great position to grab their QB of the future.  With Goff, they may not be picking in the top 5 again next year.  They have a season or even two under Goff to work on Willis' game.  While I think they take Hutchinson if he is there, how do you pass on QB?

The Giants, Jets, and Jags are jokes.

Every year they get the best draft picks.

You are not wrong, but this will be our third year in a row with a top 10 draft pick so in the immortal words of Boba Fett, "Well if that isn't the Quacta calling the Stifling slimy..."
