Joe Burrow was an elite prospect 6'4" big arm. Pickett couldn't have gone to LSU or Alabama. So right there...yeah

Pickett is 6'3" and some change and I don't think Burrows arm is any stronger than Picketts is.  Burrow is not known for having a cannon arm.  He can obviously make all the throws, and thats all you need, but he does not have young Cam or Josh Allen arm strength.

Burrow has plenty arm. I wasn't on the Burrow train either. If you remember that year I was on the Justin Herbert bandwagon, I had him way ahead of Burrow. He wasn't drafted as high but he did become OROY. The same metric I used for Herbert being my guy that year, Trask as the sleeper last year and Carson Strong this draft.

6'3" for me is just being able to get on the ride as a QB in the NFL. That's mainly because body types in the NFL change drastically from college that the difference between average and elite can be that one inch or a couple pounds + or -.

I prefer Malik over Pickett all day!!! Won't work for me... Why is everyone talking about Pickett. Malik is barely talked about and I think his talent succeeds Pickett in my opinion!

There has been plenty of talk about Malik. And I personally don’t like any QB from this class but I’d rather roll with them then Darnold again.

Uhhhhh yes?  Have you watched any tape on Pickett at all?  Dude had 4300 yards, 42 TDs and 7 picks last season.  In a good conference in the ACC.  Personally I think hes got a very high ceiling.  Hes got a pretty damn good arm, is very mobile in the pocket and scrambling, throws with good accuracy and anticipation.  Has a really good deep ball.  Hes definitely been growing on me the more I watch him.

Western Michigan, New Hampshire, and Georgia Tech. Stacked up those gaudy numbers and an L.

Came crashing back down to Earth the following week against Virginia Tech.

Throw Duke in there and the L to Miami... you have your answer to why he had the numbers he did.

1 Game winning drive in the last 2 years.

Sounds like a winner in the NFL if you give him one of the best defenses and a schedule full of Lions and Jaguars games. Then he can sit out of the playoffs since he stacked up those meaningless numbers in the season.

    • he used to have nothing good to say about them. put him on the payroll...problem solved.
    • I am also intrigued by Mohammad. Could be another story. Seems like he has the talent but seems to have had some issues with coaching schemes/changes,  some attitude and work ethic issues? Hopefully his being home can get him focused. Here is what I read ( all second hand to me ) :    1- He has all the skills but was nonexistent under two different coaching staffs. He butted heads and was benched under Jimbo (for wearing sleeves under his uniform after the coaching staff told him not to 🙄). Then under the new staff, he rarely saw the field – he had just 55 yards last season. When he saw the field, he either made the most impressive play of the game or would get an unsportsmanlike penalty. Just a bizarre case because he has the talent.     2 -Aggie here to provide some insight. As the other poster mentioned, Moose had a weird time at A&M and it didn't help that Jimbo's offense was painful and wide receivers never seemed to excel. His third year was promising but he was also competing with Evan Stewart, Noah Thomas, and Chase Lane who I'm pretty sure were all 5*s. Also Ainais Smith and Devon achane ran majority of the offense. That said, going into his last year with Jimbo, a couple guys like Lane and Achane left, and most Ags thought this would be the year Moose really steps up. Unfortunately as the other poster mentions, he disappeared into misconduct and coaching change.
    • I'm more impressed with the UDFA that the guys they have drafted in the first the last 2 years. A whole lot of prove it is still needed before any improvement should be talked about seriously.
