if you’re dropping from 6th to middle of the pack it better be for multiple ones, and you never ever pass up your choice of QBs when you have a need at the position.

but there’s too much (erroneous) glorification of how Seattle got by during fitterer’s tenure that I’m inclined to believe he thinks it’s a good approach

seattles been amongst the worst drafting teams in the league

That is the thing, if you have a QB you really think is the guy, take him at 6. If you are after a QB and you are trading down into the mid to late 1st to grab him, you obviously aren't sold on him either.

And I am saying this as a guy that is low on this entire class.

A 2nd tier qb and a 2nd tier LT.   Instead of a first tier elite tackle.    I go with the latter every time.

Are we talking about what you would do or what they will do?  I am predicting what I think they will do.

I'll believe it when I see it but the only problem with trading back is missing on some starters waiting around. We got a little too cute with that last year. Can't repeat that this year. But an OT and a QB would certainly be nice.

they’re going to get cute, move down, and take Ridder or some fourth wave guy because “when I was in Seattle we got Wilson in the 3rd round” and pat themselves on the back for picking up a couple pointless picks and being ‘smarter’ than everyone else

And then draft Howell to appease the UNC fans, while one of the better QBs becomes a star.

We will inevitably fug this up. I suspect if this happens it will be the start of the opinions turning against Fitterer in larger numbers.

I've been down on Fitterer for a while. He's either a yes man which is a bad problem or he's an even worst problem helping make the bad decisions the FO made last year. I also wasn't happy with last year's draft and their desire to churn the bottom of the roster instead of building the top and middle of the roster.

if we walk away with an OT and Howell, Fitterer deserves a damn medal

Sounds good

I think Thule wants Pickett badly.

Fit and Mcadoo probably want Willis/Corral

So Howell/Ridder n an OT is the best option for all.

Pickett got a whole day to prove himself.

I want Willis, he's raw but his skill set would enhanced those around him. Pickett good also but I have Corral ahead of him also.

    • I believe Lloyd will elevate not just the whole unit, but also whoever his running mate is. Wallace is still very young, I think he's only 23 with two years of exp now. Cherelus can handle starting, he's just fighting with staying healthy. Kuwatch I think is going to be a contender after a couple week of understanding the system.  I mean Lee will be against..... what nearly 10 NFL-level WRs, he's going to get work and its up to him if he can hang.  I think its fair to expect 12th +/- 3 or 4 spots.  You know this, it boils down to how healthy everyone stays.....cause if dbrown, horn, Lloyd, Michael Jackson, or tervon miss extended time.....no way 10th can be reached. IF all the names above remain haethly, I do think 10th should be the goal. They are a young unit and added talent to a 16th ranked unit. Its time to march forward!!
    • Varying degrees all around but it starts at the top. That is where the buck stops. It has been 8 years of stupid, long before Morgan came back. Or Tillis was hired. Made it to the top of stupid mountain in 2023. Stayed in stupid limbo for a while, now we are prepping to scale the next mountain. In this case, I like those guys’ roster building better than what we have had so I am okay with them as our current pawns in the game of Bryce.
    • Don't let me gas him up too much, but I hear this and that...... I seen a wide body man with a quick burst, that's able to shed blocks and if extends his long arms its over. He tore up the OL in the senior, you seen about 10 plays and the dog walking OLman. There's other plays of him doing the same, just have to deal with fetus talking over the plays. Plus there's this-  https://x.com/PFF_College/status/2018385471068332410?lang=en     I hope he's ready, cause Id like to see him starting and doing his thang with dbrown, nic, and Phillips.
