Selecting N.C. State’s OT  Ikem Ekwonu at No. 6 was a dream selection. There is no way that i though he would make it to us.

I was afraid we would do some type of dumb trade back to obtain more draft choices and was greatly relieved when that didn't happen.

The Panthers have the making now for a very good OL,something we have not had in a very long time.

It was leaked this morning that the Texans and Jets were taking the two cornerbacks. Once that happened, and Giants publicly wanting Neal and not the other two, the cards aligned for Carolina

If Irving ends up starting at LT this season, I don't think Rhule makes it to the parking lot unscathed.

I will loose it if Rhule starts that learning every position sh!t with him. Let him learn to play a NFL LT and that only for a season or two dammit.

I swear I’m not trolling, but how long are his arms? I wouldn’t put it past rhule to double down on some garbage like that

You won't like what you see. But now everyone will finally understand it wasn't the OL that was the problem for Darnold. It's between his ears.

They have to at the least get him some decent competition in the QB room and actually play him in preseason before trotting him out there when it matters. Automatic 5th year option and basically no preseason competition last year was the dumbest poo you could possibly think up

I mean, the state of or QB situation is very obvious. Darnold is completely terrible and PJ couldn't make another roster.

No he's advocating for Sam to get the start next season.  He prefers Jimmy G but it's a no go with the B word.

Heads will explode tomorrow when it's seen by folks in here.

You will be busy with the ban hammer.

This was the strangest draft round 1 ever. Seemed like every team got exactly who they wanted even with all the trades. I knew we'd not get any trade offers Fitterer would like because most of the offensive players were still available and the top defensive players were gone. It was a matter of which LT we chose.

I'm excited it was Ickey. I'll bet Campen is happy too. And Bozeman can now concentrate on center. And Corbett can settle in at RG. It's like panning for gold in your favorite little creek and the flakes settle nicely in your pan.

    • I could be waaaaaaay off about Kon. I do fault myself into, to borrow a NFL phrase heavily "RAS" nerd on players, too much. There are PLENTY of athletic freak shows that are playing overseas(or Amazon delivery) cause they never figured out NBA ball. I can easily miss seeing the talent. Plus did he only have 2 dunks on the season??(is that for real??) I didn't watch over a few hours of duke, but not one point did I think "That Kon guy is a top 4 pick in the upcoming draft". IMO I still foresee Ball bringing the ball up, doing his weak isolation game and never even looking for Kon. That's his best trait according to everyone, shooting right? I do not see ball, bridges, miller or even williams making the extra pass to Kon for him to shoot a 3.  Then defense-wise, Im not ready to type the amount of questions I foresee in his ability for guarding NBA SGs or bench SFs for that matter. Not that NBA players care to defend, but still..... I just feel he's a bad fit for the current hornets, trades are taking place tho... Liam to me is a decent comp for Kon and he fell some, but was a 29 overall pick. Still around 13-21 was the good solid range for Liam and I thought the same for Kon. This is just a classic case of I need to see it. It add to this, Kon is like garlic. Ball is like sugar and Miller is like flour. Mix it together and chef Lee is not going to get me to eat that dish..... Honestly I don't know why Im this vocal about Kon. In past years I would be patience and not post and see what the kid has. The other side, insert classic white boy terms here- _____, ______, _______< etc >. Hornets do desperately need them. His crafty back door cuts, his willingness to stay a extra 2 hours to refine lees plays, keep playing with bruised limbs. I heard from many reports he's mentally tough and hornets by all gods need that. God they are such pussys.  I hope Im wrong and if so, I will give Kon his just props.
