Seems like the Team agrees - ball is in Cams court.  Cam is holding out for a starting gig, which isn’t going to come.  My guess is he signs a 1 year deal here in July/August

I'd wish he would sign sooner so he can get in on all the installs and workouts we will have prior to training camp.

Couldn’t agree more, it’s easy to forget he literally had zero time last year to learn the playbook or build chemistry with his receivers. Cam will regardless be a better QB next year just having the ability to have time to learn the playbook.

I would like to see another QB that is there to be a 100% mentor and backup, and not compete with Corral. A Josh McCown type. Cam would most likely be the starter if he comes in, he’s too good to just be a mentor. The reason is that I want to see Corral play, and play a lot this year so we know what we have before next years draft.

I still like the idea of Foles. He’s used to that role.

Cam is one classy dude on the field despite his dumb poo off of it

i’ll never forget drafting Grier when the analysts and myself were screaming for Crosby and the dumbass blank looks after Grier was chosen

I think Rivera was a perfect coach for Crosby

fuging Hurney being Hurney hometown heroes and all, god what an idiot

As to Newton, over the past few seasons, fans have spent a lot of effort on two things:

1) Finding a scenario that gives Newton and the Panthers a fairytale ending, and...

2) Hoping for the team to find Newton 2.0 in the Draft

If I'm being brutally honest right now, I wouldn't put good odds on either of those things happening.

I don’t see it. All the things cam struggles at are what rookie QBs need to work on. Footwork, accuracy, reading defenses…none of those are strengths in cams game.

Reading defenses is a weakness of Cams? When has this ever been the case? It’s clear that’s a Darnold issue, but I never hear that being a problem for Cam

    • I had everything saved on an old email address and my computer crashed and could not be revived.  I tried reviving it, then stumbled on one I was going to create several years ago...So I am using it instead.  My fault--did not keep the email and forgot password--
    • Rasheed Walker for Kris Jenkins Jr.is what i am actually referring to in that particular post  all those #'s you are referring to are athletic #'s & Monroe Freeling had or has an impressive combination of size & raw athletiscm & it has nothing do with his size or athelticsm that is preventing him from being a day 1 starter in the NFL technique is where he struggled at the NFL combine & not only scouts but analysts alike also viewed him as more of a developmental type of player rather than a day 1 starter  go take a look at Will Campbell transition from the SEC to the NFL another first round LT that was drafted #4 overall by the New England Patriot,s.Will Campbell was a three year starter at  LSU & was thought to be one of if not the very best LT's in the SEC  & compare his SEC carrer to his rookie season in the NFL? just because you played good in the SEC at LT does nescarrily mean you are ready to start at LT in the NFL day 1 & or your rookie season  & one last thing i think you are jumping to conclusion & somehow assuming that i do not like Monroe Freeling ?which could not be further from the truth .what i do not like is the idea starting a player who is not ready ...just saying
    • I'd 10x rather play the NFC North than NFC West.
