Before we even drafted Corral (who you claimed sucked with this entire draft class of QBs) you wanted Tepper to make Rhule tank with Darnold. You stated it was a way for Tepper to fire Rhule easily next year. It was such a terrible idea/plan it still haunts me at night.

I never said tank.  Rhule gave up assets for Sam and talked him up.   Rhule made the choice to trade for him he should be made to make it work.   Then we traded more assets for a qb that now doesn’t even appear that he is ever going to see the field.   We are a clown show in real time.

Weren't you one of the people saying we should force Rhule to start Sam and let him get us a top 5 pick? At one point that was a fairly common take amongst those who didn’t want a QB in the draft. Most with common sense poured cold water on that though.

We werent a top 5 pick last year with Darnold and he really couldnt have been worse than last year and the oline has greatly improved on paper, CMC is healthy (for now), Horn is back and healthy.  I dont think we were ever seriously in the running for a top 3 pick.

No team should ever try to tank on purpose for a draft pick. Just a ridiculous loser attitude. You play the cards you have and play the best you have.

This tanking for picks is bullsh%t.

Nobody is saying that.   It’s a false narrative from the sunshine club.  We are saying rhule should be forced to deal with his choices he made.   Stop fuging around and throwing poo against the wall.   You gave up a poo ton for Sam now make it work.  You gave up more assets for corral go make it work.  Baker isn’t going to to jack poo on a one year deal.   But I am sure you guys will keep making excuses when this blows up in our face.

Wanting our owner to force Rhule to start the worst QB in the league would be a form of tanking.

Force Rhule? Rhule declared to everyone he could win with Darnold by trading high draft picks and then signing his option before he even took a snap. If he isn’t ever held accountable for those decisions how long with this Teddy/Sam/Baker circus last?

Granting Rhule his wish and then having him follow through is force?

Rhule wasn't "forced" to do anything until maybe getting some real coaching staff this year. His press conferences speak for themselves as far as what players he favors or is responsible for. Darnold and PJ will be around until someone pries them from his hands. Can't wait for his 3QB system starting up again by week 5

    • Everybody made too much of that. The CBA and the 17 game schedule is what kills the cohesion we see in teams across the league in the opening games.  You decide, look at your depth and make informed decisions there or you get a an extra quarter or whatever two quarters with your ones.  Teams that are set don’t have those openings as much down the roster to evaluate but that ain’t everybody. It is a quandary. I think they need that 4th preseason game back. But as I said, I don’t lay that as the excuse for Bryce to come out looking like he does to start seasons. He has an entire camp.
    • Hey I said the 1pm west coast team, I said the up down up down and we were due for the up week.  You can’t know what is going to happen. There was a guy that detailed why the league would engineer a Panthers win to bring LA Rams back to the pack in conference standings.  Who really knows, and how much real belief do you have when citing these things? I generally have as much as my superstition allows. It rarely rises to an emotional experience. Usually it is more analytical. In terms of interest. When crazy poo happens and we win a game like today I for sure enjoy it.  I mean you have to think about it, how many times do you connect 2 4th and short situations for TDs? Who does that? That is like the most embarrassing thing for the Rams’ defense lol. That never happens and should never happen.  Expecting it to happen might not be a good plan. But it was pretty great
