I was thinking 8 was realistic.  That was unrealistic given our brain trust.

Truth is, on offense we look just as unprepared for the week's opponents as we did last year.  That was part of what got me to check out on Rhule last year.  I can handle losing, but I can't handle being completely inept. 

The defense looks better, but they are not good enough to pull a 1976 Steelers and carry a team to wins by stymieing to single-digits week after week.  They are practically outscoring the offense, though.  And if somebody pulls out the offensive scores against prevent defenses, the defense may be outscoring them.

Moral on D is about take a nose dive with the way the O is playing. Blowouts are coming soon.

I thought that before the season started.  But now getting 5 wins seems to much to expect from this team.

Well, if we got to 5 wins we would hit Rhule's average seasonal wins so I wouldn't count it out yet. We are going to get lucky on about 2-4 more I think. Your five wins may turn out to be right on the money. Doesn't look like they could do it if they play like yesterday but I bet we beat the saints again, get at least one from the falcons and then end of season we squeak out another 1 or two wins from actual good teams with real NFL coaches who may be resting some key players for the playoffs

I agree as that's what I have been thinking past couoem weeks myself. Just enough wins to screw ourselves again.

i agree. I'll need to watch the game again today before I make any further comment on what worked or what didn't. I will say I thought Bakers play was outstanding.

Unfortunately, 3-1 was in the cards if not for the Rhule Tax.

the weak part of our schedule is behind us. I honestly don't see another win in sight for 2022. But I'm glad Tepper won't tolerate mediocracy.

Optimistic season projections were under the assumption we would be average on offense. This team is arguably 4-0 if that was the case. The defense has played their part. 
 

No one saw THIS happening. No one thought “this offense will make us dream of last years offense.”

To be fair to the OP, the Panthers are shocking the world. They're just not doing it in the complete opposite way he hoped.
