Cam was never credited with dividing a locker room etc. Fans got upset with his behavior at times, sure, but it never seemed like players or coaches did...

Im not arguing whether or not race has anything to do with anything (FWIW, I felt there were times you could see the ole boys club, but there were times he faced legit criticism and I felt he had some who went to that point a bit to quickly)...buuut, there were reports like this, I also remember something about him "being mean" at the pro bowl or some poo.  Its all overly dramatic BS thats put out to generate clicks IMO.

You’re basing this on a opinion from a hack from Cleveland? But since you brought up Cam, there’s a reason he didn’t get that big contract, an extension… but an outright release.

I didn't bring up Cam. I responded to someone that did.

We've heard from multiple sources that Mayfield divided the browns lockerroom. We never heard that about Cam.

As to Cam he didn't get an extension because his injury permanently reduced his abilities and it was pretty much obvious to everyone, but he wanted to still be the starter, so the best situation was to let him try that elsewhere. That and Tepper and/or Rhule wanted a reset on the franchise. It was never because he was bad in the locker room.

See, not clutch. That's documented by THEM. Another project for Ben McAdoo supposedly ahead of his preferred prized pupil.

I'm warming to the Baker trade. Showcase him and Sam and trade them both for assets later. This was a hook up!? Wasn't it? Somebody pounding the drum? There you go buddy, buddy of buddy.

Yet his constant failures in fourth quarters and tight moments, dating back to his rookie year, made it evident the Browns needed to get better at the most important position to compete with the arms race of AFC quarterbacks. Mayfield always thought he was better than he was and it repeatedly got him into trouble with terrible footwork and ill-advised throws at inopportune times.

I do enjoy your picture of matt corral tho our future qb

Now its mayfield time to shine for now

I hope Mayfield plays well and the Panthers have a good year.

At the same time, our own GM said building around a rookie QB was "the right way" to do things.

The best case scenario is Mayfield is a bridge that gives Corral time to learn the pro game and bulk up a bit to take the hits at this level.

The whole situation there, plus the Watson pursuit and then the trade to here have been filled with shadows, shade and smoke. Honestly, we don't know what we've got, we don't know what we're going to do with it and we have no idea how this will shake out.

By the end of the season we could well be looking at Mayfield and Darnold still shooting it out in an effort to secure a back-up QB job while Corral starts for a coach as yet to be named.

This is going to be the bumpiest season we've seen since Seifert. Maybe worse.

Or something magical could happen. Maybe.

Call me a sceptical but a Seifert season is way more likely. Even though I like our Oline way more than I have in decades.

I don't think that there was anything close to what the rumors were about Mayfield with Cam - and not before imo the injuries took significant toll. I mean, we saw how much people loved Cams return in the locker room last year...

Of course last year also shows you how much locker room love gets you without wins.

It just seems the Mayfield rumors have been consistent and stronger when it comes to players negative feelings about him.

Mayfield isn't perfect.  None of us are.  However, the Browns should be worshipping Baker.  He came into a crap franchise that was 1-31 (with a 1-31 roster) and took them to the playoffs for the first time in forever and more importantly changed the entire culture to a winning one.  After all that they cast him aside like trash.  4 Head coaches.  4 OC's.  His success is incredible considering the facts.  He was top 10 before getting injured in 2021.  That's when the Browns decided to kill his career by allowing him to play injured and intentionally put him in situations to injure him more and make him look bad.  If you disagree you need to go do some research and inform yourself.  It was a calculated attack.  His biggest mistake in Cleveland was showing loyalty and trying to play through injury.  It was a bad decision that cost him millions of dollars and helped created the BS narrative that I see so many buying into.

Is Baker Tom Brady?  Nope.  Is he a good QB with a cannon for an arm with really good accuracy that has the potential to win Superbowls?  Hell yes he is.  He isn't even close to his ceiling yet.

Everybody say hi to Baker's dad.

Yea and that reason is because MoRon Rivera ran him into the fuggin dirt trotting him out with only olsen and a bunch of garbage on offense.

We literally had one season with Byron Bell and Nate Chandler as our bookends.

Our coaching staff severely shortened Cams career, if only we had someone to develop him like the Bills did with Allen instead of just putting the offense on his back and riding him.

Did he have issues with Lincoln Riley in Oklahoma?

I missed it if he did, but admittedly I don't follow college football quite as closely as I do the pros.

Regardless, I don't think anyone (including Baker himself) would debate against the notion that he's a cocky bastard. Like it was with Steve Smith, that's a big part of his successes...as well as his failures.

The one piece of this article that kinda raised an eyebrow with me though was the story about Myles Garrett. If he too was "lashing out" over "a lack of adjustments", it makes me wonder a little.

At OU, he didn’t have problems with Lincoln Riley or Bob Stoops. His teammates loved him.

OF course they did, the knock is childish and immature. College guys are childish and immature, NFL guys are grown ass men with families.

    • Rich people who collect Health are indeed a surprising type of leaders. It's so exciting to see it but I have no doubt that this is clear enough. Where can rookies scare up striking Health recipes? I'm working on it at this time. This would be friggin' stupid if it freaked out others. Take this information very seriously. I still hadn't found anyone to tell me with respect to this sticky situation.   https://groups.google.com/g/actiflow-prostate-health/c/3csTfO4T70g https://ocsheriff.dynamics365portals.us/forums/support-forum/5837affc-861d-ef11-a295-001dd804e445 https://bhaprod.dynamics365portals.us/forums/support-forum/6f1364f6-861d-ef11-a295-001dd80948b1 https://groups.google.com/a/chromium.org/g/chromium-reviews/c/k6H8LBL14zY https://groups.google.com/g/synogut-price/c/gk7Vuy_kDR0 https://ocsheriff.dynamics365portals.us/forums/support-forum/590538e2-881d-ef11-a295-001dd804e445 https://bhaprod.dynamics365portals.us/forums/support-forum/387bb1e3-881d-ef11-a295-001dd80948b1 https://groups.google.com/a/chromium.org/g/chromium-reviews/c/lnNwUSvAjwk https://groups.google.com/g/kerassentials-cost/c/5SLLeAVxU74 https://ocsheriff.dynamics365portals.us/forums/support-forum/e1d45d45-8a1d-ef11-a295-001dd804e445 https://bhaprod.dynamics365portals.us/forums/support-forum/a1266d43-8a1d-ef11-a295-001dd80948b1 https://groups.google.com/a/chromium.org/g/chromium-reviews/c/gVH8Ltoz_4Q  https://groups.google.com/g/pineal-guardian-brain-support/c/DRkldCEbe3w https://ocsheriff.dynamics365portals.us/forums/support-forum/e24acabb-7c1d-ef11-a295-001dd804e445 https://bhaprod.dynamics365portals.us/forums/support-forum/cecad6bd-7c1d-ef11-a295-001dd80948b1 https://groups.google.com/a/chromium.org/g/chromium-reviews/c/dnrUDyelUG8 https://groups.google.com/g/gutoptim-review/c/NYvnYEUQV4w https://ocsheriff.dynamics365portals.us/forums/support-forum/09b1fdad-8d1d-ef11-a295-001dd804e445 https://bhaprod.dynamics365portals.us/forums/support-forum/9381c5ae-8d1d-ef11-a295-001dd80948b1 https://groups.google.com/a/chromium.org/g/chromium-reviews/c/_LRPsonxaPk
    • Bryce Young shows significant improvement. (Mimics Stroud's rookie season numbers).
    • I want the conversations at season's end to be more about what else we need to build onto the foundation to be playoff contenders and less about the fultility of drafting yet another QB and hiring yet another coach because as long as Tepper is the owner, it doesn't matter what this team does.
