Saw a tweet sometime tonight that alluded to Sheena hinting at some locker room “drama” or something along those lines as a result of Rhule’s inability to name a starter. Was anyone listening to this during the game? What was said?

I dunno if you were listening to the Fitterer interview when he was in the booth during the game but I got the impression that he was over it also he was talking about the preseason and then said "and when the quarterback situation is finally settled" all under his breath and with a clearly annoyed intonation.

This would square with supposed rumors from the team a week ago Rhule prefers Darnold but it's clear to all of us he isn't the answer.

I wouldn't be surprised. Everyone knows the "competition" is a farce. They just want to get it over with and start gelling as a unit. For some reason Rhule seems to think this is going to light a fire under the team when it seems most likely to do the opposite.

If Rhule prefers Darnold then he's really lost it.  Statistically, Baker Mayfield's floor is Sam Darnold.  When he's playing well, he's much better.  I think it shows from the limited preseason snaps.  He's noticeably better than Darnold.

I’m not going to trust the guy that took three years to make Charlie Brewer his full time starting QB…. Brewer ultimately led Baylor the Big XII Championship.

Matt Rhule has shown that he has no idea how to evaluate QB talent.

Rhule probably still doesn't want to admit he was wrong on Darnold and there's a part of him that wanted Sam to win the "competition". As soon as we traded for Baker, there was no competition. 

Fans know it, writers know it, the players definitely know it. He's wasting everyone's time, and if you're a player, he's officially messing with your ability to win and your money.

I've read similar Baylor articles where so and so is the starter, but it might be these other two guys, and maybe the WR will just throw to himself, who knows. Sounds like surrounding him with better position coaches hasn't changed his internal habits

He's been wasting precious reps for weeks after 2 years of not looking like an NFL coach. Not the time to relax
