I hope by the “winning” he doesn’t mean just getting to 1-2. Winning means getting above .500. Looking like we belong in the big leagues and making the playoffs.

I thought the same.  Pretty sure the directive came from that weekly meeting with Tepper.  And although I still won't believe he's fired until I see it, you could also pick up on some "living under the blade" vibes from how he has looked and sounded this week.

I would've laugh my azz off he he'd suddenly, in the middle of the press conference, just out of the blue ask " anybody know how much it is to rent a big-azz U Haul truck from Charlotte to Lincoln Nebraska?" Then we'd all know what happened in the meeting with Tepper.
