What does firing rhule 4,5,6 games into the season accomplish?  If it gets to the point where he is fired then the season is a waste anyway at that point

It keeps the fans that are ready to turn off the Panthers as long as you're owner. I know he gets profit share from the TV deals, but how much money are you losing on your own "brand" by continually backing a losing product? Fans aren't incensed because we're losing. We've been there before. We're incensed because we as fans are right more often than a professional HC. We're riding the worst losing streak in the NFL and told the process is working 1000% but we just can't see it. Comments like this just insult the intelligence of fans and drive them away.

I've never been convinced Rhule would be fired this season unless they looked as completely hopeless as late last year, and the staff looked totally clueless again as to what to do about it.  Any perceived progress may be enough for them to continue with "the process."

That would be largely because Tepper has no idea how the business of an NFL team runs.

The rational reason for Tepper to wait is to play a game of chicken with Rhule and see if he leaves on his own for a college job.  That saves him a ton of cash, which is not a deal breaker for him, but if he can save a few million by waiting, why not?

But I am not convinced either of them has a clue about an NFL franchise.

The only reason I think tepper is patient is that he pulled a Stephen Ross and told rhule to lose the final 7 games last year for draft purposes. We did start throwing in the towel once we were a game away from elimination for playoffs.

what I find funny, is that is what fans want but when they get it… it’s the coaches fault fire him. Who knows what’s really happening.

Shitty situation for any coach who is asked to lose. It’s a lose-lose-lose situation.

I'd call that wishful thinking.

Rhule isn't losing deliberately. He's losing because he's in over his head.

    • Oh please with the wallowing in victimhood I'm going to take my ball and go home routine. You were just in here referring to people as super weird haters because they don't completely agree with your borderline delusional spin on what Bryce Young is and isn't as a fourth year starter. We can hope by some miracle that Bryce Young will actually be able to lead a formidable passing offense this season without being irrational homers and pretending verfiable data and what we have seen with our own two eyes doesn't tell us exactly what he has been to this point which is someone who moves the ball at a historically low rate.
    • I am curious who's behind all of this though. A video and photos from years ago surfacing? Someone has a vendetta and is driving this PR campaign. I'm loving it, but I'd also like to know who said mystery figure is.
    • I say positive things about Bryce when he earns them. Which he has a handful of times. It is all here and on the record but your lobby won’t focus on that or the flat out truth inside of our critical comments.  It is a constant thing with him and his backers - one or two good things and people are trying to extrapolate that to proof we should commit to him, while ignoring or making excuses for the larger portion of his track record.  When he is able to consistently turn in franchise QB extension worthy outings the tone of the posts will reflect that.  I have already said that if he would play like he did in the WC as often as we need him to, I would be okay with keeping him.  See you don’t want to talk about that though because it shows actual fair minded evaluation not stanning.
