Baker is a receiver killer.  First OBJ and now DJ.

OBJ had a 1000 yard season with Mayfield in his first season. His knees and lack of effort killed his career in Cleveland.

He had the same splits with Mayfield and Stafford. The only key difference is LA throws in the redzone, and CLE runs Chubb/Hunt or targets TEs.

Wondering if we would be better off with Shula calling runs up the gut on 3rd and 20. McAdoo at this point isn’t good enough to draw up plays for a high school team.

Shula is VASTLY superior as an OC to anything we’ve had the past few years. You don’t know what you got till it’s gone.

DJ wants to be here genuinely. Give thanks for that.

DJ also can't throw to himself. DJ is also heavily game planned unlike other guys who just showed up.

He isn't any more heavenly "game-planned" than any other receiver that we have, and I can't wait for someone to confirm that via the All-22 (maybe @TheCasillas). He probably does his best work from the slot to be honest.

The only real problem with Shula was his complete lack of an ability to adjust in game. If his gameplan worked, he looked brilliant. If it didn't, nothing was gonna change. There was never any plan B.

Yeah, he was also over reliant on Cam, but that's also kinda what the roster dictated.

Is DJ the only player being misused by this regime? Nope.

I'd say DJ is a defensive focal point as in don't let him and CMC beat you.

Cam had DJ looking like an all-pro before he was kicked out.

With a decent QB DJ is a beast. Baker must be a huge letdown for any star receiver.

Baker is a 50% completion QB this year, THAT should be enough for the bench.

That kind of inaccuracy wouldn't go without a QB change on any other team even if it's PJ.

60% completions in Cleveland last season, 50% completions in Carolina this season. Is it over yet or does anyone need more to see that it's over for Baker Mayfield?

The naivety in thinking Cleveland was wrong on Baker and Seattle whiffed on getting a great QB before you swooped in claiming the "prize"?! Classic Rhule. Sam Darnold says hi.

Well, I might be in the minority here but he’s not doing too much to help his case. He is barely ever getting separation. When he is getting touches they are less than thrilling. He just doesn’t have the #1 receiver mentality.

Same problem last year.  DJ didn’t run good routes and was rarely wide open.  He also has shown at times he doesn’t fight for the ball.  Today he had a chance to pick up an extra half yard for a first down and he instead casually stepped out of bounds.  The dude needs to do more to help his case

At one point maybe.  But he couldn't adjust, teams caught on to same stuff year after year.

Every first down was a run up the gut for a yard and a cloud of dust.  Talk about predictable.  Redzone or 3rd down was an option that Cam normally took to save the day.

Cam made Shula look better than he was.

Facts are- Shula was a great play designer. He was also an awful play caller.

Another fact, no issue with having him as a QB coach, but keep him faaarrrrr away form OC duites(minus designing plays)
