The Saints wouldn't trade Sean Payton in division and he wouldn't want to come here considering we have no QB. However if Tepper somehow managed to get him I would be extremely happy. You can think what you want about him but he's a HOF coach.

would you give up a top 10 (maybe top 5) pick and others for him?

we are not looking to win Super Bowls we are looking to win more than 5 games

seriously it’s gotten so bad we need a coach to build a roster, understands modern NFL and to establish culture, and maybe just maybe get us to the post season at least once in their tenure

and to that I say bring on Payton

I think Tepper just wants to stop the bleeding of these crap seasons and Quinn would at minimum do that.  flirt around .500 and make the playoffs is probably his floor.

Tepper is embarrassed, he'll pay whatever it takes to get a Payton/Harbaugh/Tomlin level coach (I think Pittsburgh will go 2-14 and Tomlin will part ways and Tomlin will be the new coach

I have said it before and will say it again, I would sacrifice a small to medium farm animal to have Tomlin as our coach.  I probably would name my next kid Tepper if he could get Tomlin and Colbert.

That said the Steelers are not crazy enough to fire tomlin I dont think

I didnt say I agreed with it but I can certainly see his mindset.  Hovering around .500 and going to the playoffs every so often probably looks a helluva lot better then what he is watching now.

Like I said I wouldnt bitch if he could snag quinn but I would prefer one of these wondertype kids that is all the rage now

While that’s true Peyton is a far superior coach. Especially considering draft input and the staff he can surround him with.

But yea we are basically beggars at this point and can’t be choosers but wishful thinking.

Dont want Matt Rhule, but dont want either of these dudes.

Quinn is ass and Peyton is a choker and douchebag.

Brees was a choker, Payton wasn't. Douchebag yes, but fug it I want to win. And he had the balls to go for a surprise onside kick which changed the tide of a Super Bowl and got them the win. I fuging want that in Carolina.

Harbaugh is my first choice then Payton. If not those two, then let's follow the trend of the league and hire one of the bright young offensive guys.

Getting Tomlin would be a dream scenario.

Brees lost his arm around 2013/2014 and they didn't have the oomph to capitalize in the playoffs after that point IMO in large part, though hardly exclusively, due to that reason. As much as I dislike Payton I'd be curious to see what he could do with a mid-tier QB that can put it over the top and a decent defense.
