11-27. in ink. record speaks for itself. I get many feeling relieved and even joy, but I think it's a sad day. what would even be a sign that Tepper's next head coach hire is going to go better than this one?

funny how Wilks seemed a logical fit for interim HC the moment he was hired. he's obviously qualified, but he's getting a "chance" in a born-to-lose situation once again. hope he galvanizes the team and makes a great case for himself as a "all the time" leader and not just a "eh we're screwed, put Wilks in charge" leader.

What's that supposed to mean?

oh sorry I thought it was clear

the media would gladly have us hire a black head coach who was bad at their job because it doesn’t concern them if the panthers are good or not, not a concern they’d extend to the Dallas cowboys or Pittsburgh Steelers

I go back now to the report of Wilkes and Snow not being on the same page. I know its all just technical and interim but can Wilkes actually fire or hire staff. Does he assume Rhules role completely or will trades and roster management fall to the GM now as they should have in the beginning.  Not exacly sure how everything plays out from here

I would expect Snow to resign and Holcomb to take over honestly.

If the rumors about Wilkes and Snow are true, I wonder if he stays or goes as well.

I’d like to see how this plays out because if Matt takes the Nebraska job we know he can’t function with out he’s guy Phil.

    • Apparently CSW lost his starting job to Thornton last year. If he can stay healthy I bet Thornton keeps that NB position.
    • I member him staying after practices with only to see he was wearing heavy weight vest, one of his trademarks. He also put in 10 years, right? People forget he was the ST stud that called the snap and made sure everyone lined up right. He was one of the "glue" guys that bought his "lunch pail" to work.... He was a willing solider, all teams need a couple of them. He blocked for sooo many panthers RBs- Davis, lane, Williams, foster, goings and when there was huge injuries he took over the starter duties and had a couple 100 yard games. If you followed hoover, he took the perfect RB path cause he was just a slow heavy one himself....
    • Walker likely depends on a couple of things. What exactly did Dan promise him, to start with.  How much other interest he actually had for a starter job at high pay is another question. It isn’t outside the realm of possibility that he could stay on as a swing tackle waiting to take Moton’s spot when it opens.    I can’t get myself to consider Icky as a viable anything until we see him back on the field.     Hunt seems to be a team player and good guy but I don’t think he is worth what he is being paid. I have him tentatively earmarked for cap causality in the near future.
