Just Sitting Here, Hitting Refresh

Recommended Posts

Anyone else just sitting here this morning hitting refresh, waiting to see where our players get traded.

After yesterdays performance, pretty sure at least one player is traded away today.

I am assuming a team is going to give us a contingent 4th-6th for Robbie Anderson that is dependent on performance.

Packers obviously need WR help.  Giants as well. Miami could be dealing with some injuries to the WRs.

RA this week and we will see who could be up after this game. Players sometimes need a change of scenery and years like we had under Rhule are easy examples of why.

I have no idea if Wilks can calm that lockerroom down at this point.

Robbie really did a number on his trade value, teams are just going to wait for him to get cut.

It's why the team should punish him and see if he will play again. That would be beneficial to all sides. If not deactivate him and trade/cut him in the off season when his cap hit is more reasonable.

A day removed from yesterdays pain; if I was coach, I’d have a man to man with Anderson, basically give him one and wash yesterday under the bridge, explain why acting like that helps no one (including his reputation) and try to move forward. Remind him that the cameras will always find you, and that it was a terrible look yesterday. It’s easy to get blacklisted in this league, so you have to manage your image.

Losing is frustrating, and the offense as a whole has been frustrating. We all want to scream.

Then if it happens again…well that’s that.

    • Even if he beats the odds, returns midseason  and plays like he did last year it won’t warrant a big contract extension.
    • It’ll be interesting to see how the board falls I completely agree with you on TE for us The safety from Oregon would be the cherry on top for Evero’s defense/scheme.  If a OL’men is there that you love it would be very hard to pass up. This fan base seems to just see Walker as a stop gap but I wouldn’t be so sure. He’s the same age as Ekwonu. He’s had a much more impressive career arc/progression than Icky has. He’s the better pass protector. As far as I see it if Walker has a good year I’d bring him back over Icky. Ekwonu isn’t some elite franchise LT. Playing next to Lewis is going to be great for Walker much like it has been for Icky. We definitely need to get younger/cheaper on the OL though so for this reason alone it’s still top of my list come round 1 if board falls this way  Could also use another corner with Mike Jackson’s deal up after this season and needing a nickel but Corey Thornton looked really good in that role in the limited time we got to see him. However he’s coming off an achillies injury and you never know with those.  Then as mentioned above we do still have a need at WR. As far as “weapons” go it’s kind of a 2 man show with Tmac and Coker and neither is a burner. If Jordan Tyson is there at 19 and we can have a young WR group locked up for cheap that’s a huge advantage cap wise  And don’t forget linebacker. That clip in Devin’s Lloyd blueprint they used from Evero saying they need more intelligence there could’ve been left out for Wallace’s sake but it’s true. Wallace is lost in coverage. Pair a smart linebacker with Lloyd and that’s a group with Wallace and Cherelus being depth
