Who starts at RB now? Shenault, Hubbard, Foreman?

Shenault isn’t a RB

I mean, I assume Wilks will be tasked at this point to rep the bottom of the roster and young guys by Tepper.  He sort of referenced that from day 1.

So I’ll guess Hubbard gets the most reps working with Foreman.

The more I think about it, don't be shocked if it comes out that we took this offer over a single 1st. Fitterer LOVES having lots of picks. He very well may have preferred an offer featuring a bunch of picks over one pick that would be seen as more valuable by lost draft charts.

I’d rather have a 2024 first

He's not an elite player, he's a HoF talent.

We've had like 4 of those in Charlotte in 25 years and people are celebrating trading away the 5th one for peanuts.

Baffling.

He’s not gonna reach the hall of fame being here in Carolina! I’m sad to see him go but we don’t know everything behind the scenes, CMC going back to SF is not a coincidence, I think he may have asked for a trade. The dude did what is best for his career. He wasn’t going to be here regardless, might as well get something for him.

A haul would've been getting Lance, their 2nd, 3rd, and 4th round picks. Who are we going to get that will replace the value of a healthy CMC with those picks? No one. That's why the 49ers gave them to us.

You speak of McCaffery as if he is a HOF player. He is not. He is a great player who is injury prone and has already lost half a step due to his injuries. Why would we want Trey Lance? That's adding cap when we're trying to shed it for the future. This trade doesn't guarantee that the 49ers are going to be the top of the division. They may still miss out on the playoffs.

The anger from everyone is funny as hell lmao. We weren’t going anywhere for at least a couple more years.

Trade him while he’s at his highest and this obviously was the best deal they got. Why would’ve they taken any less.

This secured the #1 pick.

Franchise QB next year, we got our franchise LT finally.  Go running back by committee and spend the money you used on CMC on more actual valuable positions.

It probably won't be that low. The 58th pick last year was Nick Bolton. Jeremy Chinn was pick 64. You find good value in that area of the draft. This is a clear offensive rebuild and McCaffrey was not apart of their plans clearly.

But what rebuild plans do we really have. We need a HC, new OC, new direction on offense and just traded away our best offensive piece by far. How do we attract a good HC candidate with what we're doing?

    • Bryce just didn't maximize Hunter Renfrow's skills. ***rant incoming*** But this isn't just about Bryce Young mistiming passes to Renfrow so bad that he's going to get Renfrow killed or hurt, this is also about incompetentence by Dave Canales. Renfrow can still play. He's putting DBs in a blender out there---making them play twister at the top of routes to keep up with him, and dumb Dave has the nerve to cut him. How about putting Hunter in the best position to help the damned offense by appreciating his skill set, DC? You're letting Bryce's apparent inability to make an accurate throw, or at least his timidity to push the ball down the damned field cloud your judgment and miscalculate talent---or maybe just miss on talent just as much as Bryce misses passes due to playing pussified football. It's fúcking unacceptable.  Speaking of misjudgment, I don't know if it's Dan Morgan or Canales, but Eijiro Evero is not the business at DC. I have said a few times that his scheme is not conducive to run-stopping efficiency. Hell, and after watching some clips of plays, now I absolutely know why. The gaps are at least half open before the play even fúcking starts. You are setting the opposition's RBs up for success with too much damned space at the line and in the second level. If our guys are taken out in these areas---at the line and in the second level---then the defense is screwed because it must rely on the safeties to cover too much ground to make the tackle. At least put Ransom in who is motivated to seek and destroy if you're going to effectively leave the safeties on an island.  And speaking of rookies, get our two new defensive ends more snaps to see if we can't generate more of a pass rush. For all the good the continued sorry display of defense that you're putting out for fan's to see (Ejiro, Dave and Dan), you may as well get the rookies generously involved. Fúck that money we gave second-rate (maybe second-rate) vets, we need a damned spark getting after the QB. Watch it, it's just another breakdown of the sh¡t we were subjected to last week. I say this with all respect: Fúck you, Dave! Fúck you, Dan! Learn how to run a fúcking franchise. Maximize the players, regardless of what you think you're supposed to do by the book. Cut the dead weight before another season is lost and fans lose interest in September. EE is "Ew!" Or for emphasis "EEw!" /end rant
    • But nobody is saying he is a good deep ball passer.  But the facts are since he's returned from his benching, he has been throwing downfield.  Whether you want to credit the scheme, Bryce himself, or whatever, he has been pushing it deep.  Not to any positive results mind you, but it has been happening.
