This Panthers team might be a hard team to beat going forward

Phillip Walker is the wild card here, (he’s a 26 year old man, not a 12 year old, so yes, I prefer Philip to PJ, and besides, Phillip Walker sounds more like a NFL QB and less like an XFL one) Anyway if Phillip can keep making the kind of throws he made yesterday..

A beastly O line? Check. What appears to be a one/two punch running game? Check.

A monster defense? Check.

A great WR in Moore with some solid complimentary WRs around him? Check.

A QB with something to prove and a head coach who would practically sell his soul to become the actual HC of this team going forward?! Check and check.

Let’s assume we keep up this level of play going forward, what weaknesses do we have? Seattle, Bengals and Ravens, if we lose those three and win the rest of the schedule, we are 9-8 and NFCS champs.

The Bucs are a deeply flawed team this year and they were facing a wild card. Still crazy we beat that defense and it's a good thing to see but... We may be facing winning enough games to get knocked out of the top 10 while having a deeply flawed team at key positions. Winning some isn't our friend this year.

I dont gamble but just saw on the athletic we are getting 6.5 points for sunday?  What the fug?  What am I missing as that sounds like the easy bet of the year.

Falcons favored by 6 at home from what I saw yesterday.  Seems about right

It goes to show that with this defense, establishing the run, and having average or “game manager” quality QB play, this team is competitive. (Not different to what a lot of us thought prior to the season, and hoped we could get from Baker)

Let’s see if Walker can do similar each week. If he could do so, he could “Rodney Peete” for Corral or another QB in this draft.

We went from the worst team ever before yesterday’s game to a playoff contender in some peoples eyes.  That’s why the NFL is the best.  Even if it’s lunacy

That's why good coaching who make great personell decisions are vital to winning in this league.

You can't be swayed by fandoms wanting you to play their heros, you can't be swayed by contracts, you've got to put who gives you the best chance to win. And the last 2 seasons PJ has looked the best Qb on the roster the few times he got to play.

    • With the contract money an OT first rounder makes you can ALWAYS get a new girlfriend.  And probably an upgrade at that.  You only got 2 parents.
    • Brother. You are wholly confusing comparing situations and applying actual standards like most other franchises do like simply getting into a playoff series and winning at least 1 or 2 series games with praising. Nobody is praising the Hawks. Nobody is praising the Magic. Nobody here likes those teams. But reality is reality. The Hawks like other franchises have traded players fired coaches etc but they can still win a couple playoff games. How is that not the bare floor for you or anyone else? What are we doing here if it isn't? We've seen eye to eye on many things over the years. But you are in the camp on the Hornets where you are emotionally attached to LaMelo where you feel the need to carry his water like he's got that juice. That's cool that you feel that way. It's your prerogative. But I differ from that viewpoint entirely. If he had that juice we would not have gotten wiped off the court in 2 play in games with 2 different coaching staffs and rosters. if people don't like hearing that well I'm sorry but how the hell is this team ever going to get better and ultimately go anywhere in the postseason if we just blindly pat them on the back for getting their asses whooped before they actually even get into the real playoffs? There seem to be some Bryce Young level standards being applied here. That's wild to me. But to each his own.
    • Proctor/Freeling were always the belles of the ball where we were picking. What those two *could* become at OT was far greater than what others could be at their respective positions and I’m glad our FO could see that.
