Instead of practicing XP and field goals guess what our kicker was doing pregame?

Yup that's right! SELFIE TIME!!!

This team makes me sick!

He doesn't represent everybody on the team and I hope Wilks chewed his ass out for getting caught taking selfies instead of getting on camera practicing his kicks. Of course if I was coach Pinero would be watching me try out about 10 different kickers intensely this week making them kick field goals with me behind them shooting off a starter pistol while I have a few people doing a fake rush in towards him.

Detrimental to what exactly? Getting the number 1 pick and selecting a QB that may or may not pan out?

Yeah since we have all the “all-stars” in this years draft. Didn’t you know?

They just want a QB and think anyone they pick in the top 10 will be Andrew Luck or Patrick Mahomes

This has exactly zero bearing on him making or missing those kicks.

Being backed up due to a boneheaded action by a teammate at the last second before having to make a game winning kick and the mental carry over on focus for a kicker into OT would have a much greater bearing on making those kicks.

Selfie was not the problem. Boneheaded decisions with the game on the line was the problem.

    • And again, when watching him in college he had one distinct trait that I feel makes a franchise QB - on those plays when everything breaks down around him, he creates one on his own.  He doesn’t rely on or need everyone else.  That play last night on the final drive where he was getting sacked and threw it to Diggs before his knee hit the ground?  He does similar things all the time.  Mahomes, Allen, Lamar, etc., they all do it.  It’s what made Cam so special. but we picked a guy that’s the opposite of that.  He desperately needs someone else to make a play for him because he can’t.  Even that play yesterday on 4th down to Horn.  That wasn’t a great pass.  The defender was late and came down to make a play in the ball and Bryce threw it high and outside where Horn had to leave his feet and really use strong hands to catch it.  We relied on a 5’9” rookie playing in his first pro game to make THAT catch at THAT time bc of the early turnovers and a not great throw.  Crazy.
    • This thread is dumb. But I do think canales gets too cute with play calling and I don't think he's a good coach
    • 2 bad teams played yesterday and one lost. Both teams are still bad today. Bryce is a big part of that. It wouldn't have been a close game if DC would have just gone rage rushing from the start.  The Panthers would look so much better with just decent WB play. No way to avoid that fact.
