What did we used to be?

A team we enjoyed watching, even if the result’s weren’t always great. A team that had a personality, and players who played with passion.

Even though we lost last week it was the most fun I’ve had watching a Panthers game in years, maybe with the exception of Cam’s game against AZ last year. I know I’m not alone in that either. I felt like we had a chance even when we were behind, and that our players hadn’t given up. That’s been missing for so long. We actually looked like a team that deserved to be on an NFL field.

I don’t know if Wilks is the right long term answer at HC, but I know for sure that I respect the hell out of what he’s done for the team since taking over.

People are saying Cam is done without first seeing him in an adequate position to succeed.

Nobody can honestly say his last two years he was in position to succeed.

Cam deserves a chance to play behind this line.

I’ve met him. I love him dearly

I’d rather he retire and not have his brains knocked out. God knows how many concussions he has really had.  Opening night sept 2016 probably gave him several

his shoulder is shot

it’s unfair but it’s the truth

everyone needs to move on

That’s why I don’t want Wilks for next year. We don’t need to be the old Panthers, they never won a Super Bowl. We need a coach like we’ve never had before. A winner.

Exactly.   I've been a fan of the panthers since they were created and we have had some really good teams that I have absolutely loved, and can be nostalgic over for the rest of my life, but I dont want to be those panthers any more.  Stick with keep pounding and the past alive but we dont want to be the panthers of old.  We need back to back winning seasons, we need a Super Bowl.  The past was good, sometimes great, but we need to move forward.

Last week was an absolute clown show. If that's what Wilks brings and what Thompson thinks we used to be then they can both board the first train out of Charlotte.

The Panthers' identity as a franchise is inconsistency. One that's based on conservativism and a good, but not great defence. Time to kick that nonsense to the curb.

Exactly, 100%. We dont need to bring back what we used to be. That was no back to back winning seasons. No Super Bowls. No thank you.

    • Only thing I really see it doing is possibly making Tepper listen if a different play caller can't run the offense because of limitations. New hire, someone who hasn't been watching Bryce for the past 3 years up close may be able to talk some sense if he sees that he isn't able to get the job done.
