Unless I did the math wrong, Baker was at the 5th rounder threshold until his last start.  That bumped him over the 70% threshold.  We would have to make the playoffs for him to get below that again.  In other words, we don't have enough games left for Baker to get below the 70% again.

I thought it was based on snap percentage.  How are you calculating that?

Your math is off.

Mayfield has played in 372 of the 705 offensive snaps in Carolina this year, according to Pro Football Reference. At that pace, he'd need to play in about five-and-a-half games in order to reach 70 percent, and Carolina only has five games remaining.

Seems suspicious. Maybe we have some backdoor deal with San Fran.

If they pick him up, let the conspiracy theories begin.

He has to go through waivers before he can get to SF, at $2M left owed for the season a couple teams might be interested due to injury/seeing if he's better than their current backups etc

No way has he played 70% of the snaps.  Especially considering we have 5 games left.

Yeah, I got it backwards, I got 5.5 games needed to get BELOW 70%.

Makes you wonder if the Eagles or Cowboys won’t try to keep him away from SF. He’s looked horrible but it wouldn’t be too surprising for Shanahan to breathe life into a struggling QB.

    • Great season regardless of what happens. From starting out 4-14 to ending 44-38 is incredible progress and future is bright from here. I do think we can beat the Heat and then win on the road against either Orlando or Philly assuming Embiid doesn’t miraculously return sooner. But if not, a higher draft pick is nice too
    • I know a DT that's asking for a trade: 🤔 maybe a home discount can be worked out. Dan Morgan could create up to $80 million in space through restructures of stars like Derrick Brown, Jaycee Horn, or Taylor Moton. They could also include players like Tershawn Wharton ($18.6M cap hit) in the trade to balance the salaries. Carolina Receives: DT  Dexter Lawrence II New York Receives: 2026 2nd Round Pick (No. 51 Overall): A premium Day 2 selection that fits the for  Lawrence  after his 0.5-sack season in 2025. WR  Xavier Legette : A young, high-upside receiver who provides the playmaking depth HC John Harbaugh needs for his offense. 2026 4th Round Pick: Immediate mid-round value. 2027 4th Round Pick (via MIN): Future capital acquired in the  Adam Thielen  trade.  ----- Stone Forsythe* (another young player as a potential trade option)provides immediate offensive line retooling for HC John Harbaugh.    John Harbaugh's history in Baltimore proves he values draft volume over individual superstars.    Just my 2cents
    • Moved to Tuesday, not Wednes because of scheduling with Flyers game or something in Philly. But I don't feel good about the Heat.  It has been a great season regardless.  Team just been playing so hard to move up since a bad start and just picked a bad time to get gassed.  It's like almost everyone is shooting cold at the same time even wide open shots.   Maybe atmosphere and playoffs kick off a spark.  I'd rather be in a series than a one and done though. The team has a good foundation to build on regardless of what happens.
