Because the last college coach worked out so well.

And Harbaugh could never win the big games either.

I mean he went to the SB and NFC championship 2x... You don't do that by not being able to win.

Not to mention his QBs at the time, lol.

Serious question though. If we are hiring Harbaugh and all other interviews are a sham for the Rooney Rule, what happens if minority candidates refuse to interview because it's all for show and they have no real shot at the job?

It won't matter because at the end of the day no one truly cares. You can't really prove anything in court, these rich assholes have lots of money for litigators, and caucasian fans really aren't going to ever boycott because the Rooney rule wasn't followed.

Gets paid to beat Ohio State and has a 2-5 record against them.

The guy won the division twice, went to two NFC championships, and a Super Bowl...in 4 years...with Kaepernick and Alex Smith.  That's as much success as the Panthers have accomplished in the past 20 years.  But you hate on him because he can't beat OSU...the second best team in country the past decade (besides destroying them this year)?

Jerry Richardson was a trash owner with poor character, no patience when he needed it and endless patience when he needed to cut bait.

He's also 5000x better than Tepper.

Oh please, Tepper makes one mistake and he's suddenly worse than a old man who couldn't keep his hands to himself?

F*ck out of here.

I don't think he is likely to accept a demotion.

He was Rhule's personal ball washer so it actually sounds like a promotion regardless of 'title'. He is actually doing a job he was never hired for since Rhule was fired. Just call the new GM the GM's GM lol.

    • What?!?!?! Chark's 1,000 yard season was 4 years before he played for us and he only had 525 yards in 15 games as our #1 WR.  Dude has 3,100 yards in 7 seasons, he's the literal definition of a JAG and you think he is better than half our current WR room? T-Mac is literally already better than Chark was at his peak, which again, was years before he ever even put on a Panthers uniform, and there is a real argument to be made that XL and Coker were both better as rookies than Chark was for us in his one season here.
    • Im glad we're starting low. It's nonsensical to put us at 28 IMHO based on objective things IMHO (I think 21-24) is far more appropriate but whatever. Washington was at the bottom last year FWIW.  In 2003, Sports Illustrated said our best chance to win the division was to transfer to the ACC. In 2015, everyone wrote us off as a team that snuck into the playoffs with a losing record in 2014 and lost our best WR in TC (Kelvin Benjamin). All these videos are fodder for conversation, but this prediction has no more validity than saying the Panthers are making the SB bc we're starting the season against the Jaguars again. If Bryce plays like he did down the stretch we will end up the season just fine. This roster is much better than it has been the last 2 seasons. No one knows who any season will ultimately end up, but this team is finally being built in the right way, and the idea that this roster can't compete this year is as insane as being it was when we were gaslit in 2023 that we were a rookie QB from winning the division with that roster.
