We also let them win.

They are just better at letting us win than we are at letting them win.

hilariously we won because despite being unable to complete a pass, Darnold was able to use his legs to get us into FG position where Dalton could not.

And got blown out by a legit team in there, blown out to a baaaaad rams team, destroyed by old ass Brady who was meh for weeks before.

But we won against a team throwing the game on a last second kick to get to 6-6 vs a 5-7 record if they actually tried there at the end lol.

Wilks ain't it.

Wilks was coaching with a roster full of Baylor and Temple Rejects. We were the laughingstock of the league and always #32 in the power rankings. I think he did a great job with where he picked up at.

All go never phucking Quit Sammy Franchise!!!

oh that's right.   That was actually a GWD for Sam.

He's pretty good at pissing off half the fanbase here.

It's a good thing that this win doesn't get us lower than 9 at least.

Wilks wasn’t staying regardless of how they looked today

But yeah, there’s a few of these games. But at the end of the day we had a chance to move up 1-2 spots

It's too bad we didn't, but you can't force the players to give up. Darnold, as much as he sucked, basically willed this team down the field on the final drive. As terrible as that may have been for our draft position, I don't really care that much anymore either way - I think we'll get a good player and we'll be in for a bit of development. Maybe we trade up, but I kinda doubt it. I don't think that changes if we were 7, 8, or 9 either.

    • I’m an optimist thru and thru. I love any win this team can muster, and Bryce did what he could to keep the team in it, but he’s why the team was out of it to begin with.  I like the guy, but he is not… he’s just not it… and I was swayed by the way he finished last season, but his physical limitations will never be overcome. A one arm tackle stopped him in his tracks en route for 6, among several other plays where an even average starter in the league succeeds.  A franchise QB is supposed to be his own cheat code. Bryce needs a cheat code dude, that is not him, to win. Chuba CARRIED (literally) his ass last season. Thielen bailed him out EVERY game he played in last season. Today: Rico turned in one of the best games in franchise history, Tet was unguardable and put up at least 100 yards on his own (PI yards included),  and the defense basically pitched a shutout after going down big so they could beat one of the worst teams in the NFL.
    • Jimmy came thru today I hope he is active next week   (2) NFL on X: "Bryce Young to Jimmy Horn Jr. on 4th down! MIAvsCAR on FOX/FOX One https://t.co/HkKw7uXVnt https://t.co/FYOfsxtAMk" / X
    • Rico 10000% saved Bryce Young from being benched for the Dallas game.  The way that game was going there was going to be no way to trot Bryce out next week at home if it kept going like it did.  Bryce probably is safe from bench risk until the next home and home presents itself.    He can’t be playing bad going into that next Atl game and then lay an egg in it.
