I am rooting for the GIANTS tonight and you should too!

Brian Daboll IS the culture.... He is arguably the most influential man in the State of NY right now

Rooting for them makes me optimistic that we can find a coach like him who can walk into a cesspool of despair and change it around in 1 season with mostly the same personnel but just some good ass coaching!

Wilks did that already 🤷‍♂️

Giants last one was over a decade ago and the Eagles have one win compared to the Niners and Cowboys who have ten combined Super Bowl trophies. Some of ya'll will create an argument over anything lol.

Nobody cares about Giants or Eagles this time round. Let another title-less team have a shot like Jacksonville who is more deserving a SB win and get their first title without the cheating Patriots in their way.

I agree about seeing a first time team getting their trophy. I'd rather not see the Jaguars get one before us though call me petty if you want but that would sting after losing two. They got eliminated though so we can shelve that scenario for another season. All that being said. This is why we need to nail this coaching hire. The division is up for grabs the next several years.

We already know the NFL is a year to year league. Our 1-15 team was in the super bowl two years later. It’s about finding the right coach and QB. Miss on either of those and you’re not winning a title.

Absolutely!

Too many views on how it takes 5 to 10 seasons to develop a team. The coach needs to win coming out of the gate and maintain that winning culture. Must be competitive to contend for the SB by year 3, and win a SB by year 3 to year 5. Picking a different QB every season for 5 years means you are just a farm team for the rest of the league. QB must be able to demonstrate they can produce GWD every year they are in the NFL and be connected with the HC/OC.

Just need a good HC and an average NFL QB. Use the draft capital to build around the QB. Maybe the team gets lucky and lands a Manning or Mahomes, but that should never be part of the plan. The SB can be won with Mark Rypien, Brett Favre, Kurt Warner, Tom Brady, Brad Johnson, Rich Gannon, Jake Delhomme, Matt Hasselbeck, Drew Brees, Colin Kaepernick, Russell Wilson, Nick Foles, and Jimmy Garoppolo. You can beat 1st round QBs like Jim Kelly, John Elway, Steve McNair, Donovan McNabb, Peyton Manning, Matt Ryan, and Patrick Mahomes with the previously mentioned QBs.

What you always need is a new HC (not a SB winning HC coach who has already made the media rounds after they left their previous team) who has at least been to a conference championship game, but would rather have them be a coach from a SB winning staff. Could also be a coach who spent half a decade learning under a dynasty proven HC, and has been to the playoffs for at least 3/4 seasons. This HC is a must. The 1st round franchise QB is a bonus if the moons align. A 1st round QB is not a necessity.

Get it right and enjoy the journey!

    • I don't think the scheme is the issue. I think that the roster situation and health is the issue.  Pick something and stay with it.  One positive of the 3-4 is that 4-3 tweeners have potential in the odd front.
    • Look at the names on our defense.   I legit only know 4 players Brown/Horn/Shaq/Clowney and 2 of those players are injured.
    • It's really bad and injuries make it worse but they also allowed this D to come into this year with these guys as the talent injection on a depleted roster? DT A’Shawn Robinson (agreed to terms on sign three-year, $22.5 million deal) LB Josey Jewell (signed three-year, $22.75 million deal) CB Dane Jackson (signed two-year, $8.5 million deal) OLB D.J. Wonnum (signed two-year, $12.5 million deal) OLB K’Lavon Chaisson (signed one-year, $5 million deal) S Jordan Fuller (signed one-year, $5.25 million deal) S Nick Scott (signed) OLB Jadeveon Clowney (signed to two-year, $20 million deal) With a draft class like this — Buffalo's first-rounder (No. 32 overall) — WR Xavier Legette — Indianapolis' second rounder (No. 46 overall) — RB Jonathon Brooks — New York Jets' third-rounder (No. 72 overall) — LB Trevin Wallace — Their own fourth-rounder (No. 101 overall) — TE Ja'Tavion Sanders — New York Jets' fifth-rounder (No. 157 overall) — CB Chau Smith-Wade — Buffalo's sixth-rounder (No. 200 overall) — DT Jaden Crumedy — Pittsburgh's seventh-rounder (No. 240 overall) — LB Michael Barrett Mike Jackson has been good thankfully and super early with little tape but Wallace showed some promise in a tough roll on Sunday. They weren't going to build a top D this year but they could have also done better than that. We lost freaking Luvu and I think Jackson is an upgrade over the old Jackson. Brown and Thompson were not going to save that D if healthy given what was around them. That's on the GM and DC for not doing better. They literally missed on all but 2 guys so far while expecting their passrush to be an old Clowney? Since Evero and DM were here last year lets add 2023's guys DL Shy Tuttle (signed three-year, $19.5 million deal) S Vonn Bell (signed three-year, $22.5 million deal) DL DeShawn Williams (signed one-year, $1.1 million deal) LB Kamu Grugier-Hill (signed one-year, $1.3 million deal) DB Eric Rowe (agreed to terms) And that draft Round 1 | Pick 1 overall (from CHI) Bryce Young, QB, Alabama Round 2 | Pick 39 overall Jonathan Mingo, WR, Ole Miss Round 3 | Pick 80 (from PIT) DJ Johnson, EDGE, Oregon Round 4, Pick 114 overall Chandler Zavala, G, NC State Round 5, Pick 145 overall Jammie Robinson, S, Florida State That's how you build an all time worst D right there. Burns is doing nothing in NY. Luvu wasn't coming back anyways. I don't see how DM and Evero get a pass for such terrible work over 2 years. I would think a blindfolded dude throwing darts at a draft board and free agency board could do better than that over 2 years. It's not just a talent on the field problem IMO. And yes DM was AGM in 2023 but he was the GM's right hand guy and the pro-personnel guy so even taking that into context it still stinks.
