I get it. She works for the team and that was a scripted, staged release. I wouldn’t put much in to anything either one of them said.

Yeah that impressed me as well.  Rivera had more than a bit of that as did Rhule and it was to the detriment of the team more often than not.

If we think he's the answer, do it. Enough with the fear of taking a big swing on a QB. Identity the guy and get him.

Actually I came away with Young from that description.  He’s small but a tough MF.  He’s stayed in calm while taking some big hits (see Tennessee game)

a playmaker,  the way he’s used his legs is like a gamer.

and one of the best pure decision makers to come out in a while.

which hit all his points.  He’s just small.

I've seen a couple of different analysts mention CJ Stroud as a guy who would fit very well with what Reich does on offense.

I would say based on his description of the qualities he values, he doesn't sound like someone who would subscribe to the "just draft a big armed athletic guy and try to teach him how to pass" philosophy.

Honestly I'd say the majority of Matt Rhule's hirings fit that description.

Plus Wilks was probably gonna being in Holcomb as DC. Kinda had enough of “buddy hiring”.
