I wished he'd didnt do those videos......

Funny he shares the same love I have for CJ.

Two weeks after the panthers were out of playoffs, I drove into the draft.

Came away 4 QBs will go in top 8, long before mocks and DJs top 50. I am banking on AR and combine. The cream isnt there too in WR, CB, LT, DE/edge terms.

Still have the same list

1. Stroud

2. Levis

3. AR

4. Young(just too small)

Our QB coach compared him to Burrow.

lol at some of the posters in here saying there weren’t any QBs in this draft worth trading up for. We need to make a move up.

It's easy to say that on a YouTube video. A little different when there's millions (and millions) of dollars on the table, including your job.

I’d trust him and his analysis more than I’d trust Huddler that said for some reason there’s no QBs in this draft worth going for

Especially since he’s our QB coach

OK, Aggie--if you are familiar with my body of work on here, you will have noted that I confess that I am the absolute worse judge of talent at the QB position.  I think you are right--if the QB you like is there, and you have done your homework, you do what you have to do to move up and get him.  Period.  Full Stop.

I think we are in a good situation because we really do not need much else to be competitive.  A few free agents, a day two or three smart pick or two--and boom.  We would be set.

    • I think Indiana will win it all but Miami should give them a much better fight than Oregon did.
    • When I tell people I was at that game, they usually say oh that’s so cool you had the experience. I call it soul crushing. Why? The weeks and months leading up to it were great, the team was fun to watch every week…some weeks the offense was unstoppable and carried the team (saints and giants road games), other times the defense carried the load (jaguars, tampa). Lots of back and forth games against good teams (Seattle and Indy). Good young players on the team, but the veteran leadership was incredible…from Cam, Olsen, Kalil and J Stew to Luke, TD, Norman, Tillman, Jared Allen, CJ. Role players like Fozzy Whitaker, Cotchery (he caught that MFer), Philly brown, Kyle love, AJ Klein, and so on.  The Friday before the nfc championship my wife and I after a few drinks said let’s see what prices look like for flights/accommodations and we got to talking about how much prices would increase if we waited until we found out if we would be in the big game. We said screw it, we are only out $200 if we have to cancel.  Of course we come out and just pulverized the cardinals in front of the most raucous crowd by far we’ve ever had. We had no idea what we would do for game tickets and then found out a neighbor who worked for the team could get us 2 for face value (each employee got two of their own for free, something cool that JR did).  But then the NFL mafia decided that the storyline of manning going out on top like Elway would give them more goodwill than a non traditional QB who didn’t connect with their target demo and the rest is history. I never have and never will watch that game again. I am just hoping I can see them win one in the 2nd half of my life.
