Bryce Young might not be able to see over the offensive lineman’s hip pads.

Batted balls everywhere.

The last month I've been saying, when the combine/pro day happens and teams get an up close look at his stature it's not too far fetched to think he might slide to 9.

I think the public/draftniks look at that more than most teams. It really depends on what kind of system you are trying to run.

There is a long history of very successful sub-6 foot QB's. Including a couple of HOFers.

As many have pointed out, one of the leaders in batted balls was Josh Allen. Batted balls is less about height and more about awareness.

But, I sincerely hope the slide to 9 is related to frame and not playing ability. I would be all over that.

I mean Bama has the nearest thing to an NFL OL that exists in college football. Was never an issue.    It’s not like we haven’t seen 6ft QBs before.   Either you can play or you can’t.

batted balls to me at the highest levels IMO is more about O scheme

I mean, giant QBs have struggled with it at times.  Big Ben late, Cam in New England, etc.

Height isn’t his biggest issue. It’s his small frame.

Guy will need a top 5 OL just to make it through a season.

    • Yes. I went to those games instead of selling In 2018, it was hot  as hell and the Panthers had some ‘entertainment on the side of the stadium, like a street fair…I have never seen so many seriously obese people, men and women, in cowboy leggings and shirts   I swear, it was traumatic  I said to my friend with me ‘dear god, Cam. In the name of all that is holy, please win  this home game, if you never win another one, to shut these people up.   I stayed in a hotel sat and Sunday near stadium. Sweet Jesus  obnoxious …of course, when they lose,, there isn’t one sign of cowboys anything   worst fans ever,  they will be in Charlotte in force because even at the escalated price in Charlotte, , it was still cheaper than attending in Jerry ville
    • Jags WRs have twice as many drops plus some as the next closest team.
    • Very true about Pennington but I don’t think anyone traded a haul to move up in the draft to get him, that’s what gets me about young. I mean essentially we gave up cmc and moore, our two best offensive players, one of which is arguably one of the best in the league. Gave them up for a guy who hasn’t shown any reason for us to give up the haul to get him. It’s year three and we are seeing the same mistakes he was making year one game one.
