Bill Voth leaving the Panthers

Sad to hear. Voth had long been one of the best Panther reporters out there but in the last few years took on a more administrative role.

Hate to see him go...

This feels like a kick in the groin. Whether or not I agreed with him, at least he provided some challenging thought, a rarity in "journalism" these days.

interesting. I wonder why. He has been a long time panther fan. I actually used to chat wtih him personally when he ran his blog, for the life of me I can't remember the name of it.

He always relished himself as an outsider and when he went to work for "The Man" it seemed like a bad marriage.  He likes the Panthers and the allure of working for them was probably a once in a lifetime opportunity, but it always felt like he wouldn't be a lifer with the organization.

he was fine, was much better when he was independent as blackandbluereview or whatever it was called. Since being hired by the team he's been nothing special at all

Good. Him joining the panthers was the worst think to ever happen to the panthers beat. It left us with buffoons like person and Newton who shouldn’t be the head beat options for XFL teams.

hopefully he stays local and goes back to doing something similar to black and blue review, which was a pleasure to read.

he was the best beat writer this franchise ever had. When he left, it kept me up at night worse than Steve Reed after the Cam press conference. Speaking of Steve reed, another one on the beat who brings absolutely nothing to the table.

Good for him, definitely leaving the Panthers media brand in a better place than when he arrived. Long live the Black and Blue Review.

Throwback to this insane BBR knockoff I randomly found on eBay and had to buy. Bill got a big kick out of it.

Bummer. Voth was our best Beat reporter before the Team scooped him up. Met him at the Vikings game back in 2017. Cool guy, seemed a little weirded out that I knew who he was but then appreciated that I liked his stuff enough to talk to him.

Wish him the best.

Well, selfishly I hate to see him go but hopefully it’s a move upward.  In that regard regard I’m happy for him.
