ngl, having those two draft-eligible next season makes the idea of rolling with Matt Corral and taking BPA at #9 (or trading back) just a palatable as trading up to #3 and grabbing one of the top 3 guys from this year

He might be able to practice in July.  You think Reich is rolling with that?

We are not going to lose enough games to get the first overall pick we can't even get into the top 3. We've had our chances the last 3 years either this year or next we are going to have to make a bold move. And hyping next years class is just more of the same. When next year rolls around the hype will start to slow like always then the usual people will get cold feet again. The front office can't operate that way.

No clue. We'll see what the future holds.

I'm just happy that we've got multiple paths to success. Some folks might feel otherwise, be it because there's a particular path they don't like or one that they're passionate about the team taking. Would rather enjoy the ride than gripe about thinks outside of my control. 😄

Do you realize we all thought CJ Stroud was the sure fire savior last year and reason we all (or most) didn't want to draft Pickett? Most of us have two balls here but neither are crystal. It's time to nut up and draft a QB, develop him, and move forward like successful franchises do. Stop being scared.

Next year's class is always better for the "just wait" crowd. They probably wanted to pass on Cam in 2011 to wait on Luck in 2012.

    • After last season, it was the same question. And the answer most people came to was "If he doesn't make the playoffs, he's gone." He made the playoffs. No matter how it was done, we made it to the playoffs. He's safe. He's going to have a chance to keep working this out, even if next season isn't a playoff one.  I think we'll do better next year than we did this season. There's something being built here.
    • The NBA is a very fickle league. Kon is one of the hottest rookies in years and beyond just his play on the court he is a very steady competitor and that translates to the rest of the team. That has been a glaring absence with the culture of this franchise through the bulk of the LaMelo Ball years that's just being completely blunt and realistic. The enigma of LaMelo Ball is he is entering year 6 and still either red hot or ice cold. We need him to find that sweet spot. Logic dictates the Hornets will want to see this core again next year. But the clock is beyond ticking at this point. It's put up or shut up. Especially considering what the Thunder managed to do recently. I'm hopeful they can keep these wins rolling in and get some much needed playoff experience under their belts which will help substantially.
    • I think as long as the Panthers are competitive with Canales they should keep him. Pepper needs to repair his/the teams image as a place prized free agents aren't hesitant to consider. Just dont do any crazy poo for a few years.
