 Since 2010, we have had all our first round picks.  It was primarily the QB pick that propelled this team to success--Cam. Since Cam was banged up and pretty much done (2018 or so) we have had five first round picks, and they were good selections:  Moore, Burns, Brown, Horn, and Ekwonu.  SOLID. 3 were top 10 picks.

During the last 5 years, the Panthers have gone 29-53.  Those solid, top 10 draft picks were of no use without a QB.

Even if it costs us three first rounders, go get the damn QB if you like him, and I think Stroud will be special.

I realize there is risk and three firsts is a lot--that is why I was not cheering for Wilks in his excellent run at the end of the season.  Meaningless wins vs. first round draft picks--hmmm. Which would I rather have???

Yeah I can't grasp the people who don't want a QB in the first or even trading up.  If our staff is as good as advertised we would be losing 2 mid to late first rounders for the chance to have a new franchise QB.  I think we are so accustomed to having a top 10 pick we think those first rounders could be CMC, Horn, Brown, or even another Luke but honestly it's more like another Shaq, Benjamin etc...  Burns was a solid pick in the middle of the draft though, but the money we save having a QB on the rookie scale can be used to sign a pass rusher.

Agreed. I don't advocate for giving up this kind of haul, but we won't be in this situation sitting in the top-10 for awhile. We've hit the reset button on 90% of the coaching staff, philosophy, style and scheme. Why not push our chips forward, go all-in and get Stroud/Young. 

Couldn't blame a new coaching staff that has no QB for doing this. 

We would have to give up more assets next year to move into the Williams/Maye/Penix conversation next year.

Rip off the band-aid this year.

Like I said, I trust this staff.  My concern is whether any of these guys are really worth the price.  If Young were taller he would be a no brainer.

Our staff seems to be dialed in on this class and look to be playing the draft route. I guess we will find out in these next few months.

I think if you have to use height against a QB, you can't find any other flaws with him. 

Height is one of the least relevant factors.

One of my favorite criticisms is "Stroud throws to open WRs."  Umm that's what he is suppose to do???

      Is Canales really a “QB whisperer” or is Bryce just not that guy. I’m giving him a little bit of a break due to injuries around him and some questionable play designs. I don’t know, maybe this team is just cursed and we will never replace Cam. We still haven’t replaced Gross, Kalil, Smitty, Luke…

      This was the risk with spending what $150 million in free agency on two OL? We should have been focused on the draft. Now whether the OL is terrible bad or mid we still have the highest amount of salary cap dedicated to the position group by far. And it's only going to go up when we sign Icky to an extension. Instead of trading up for injured running backs maybe we should have been drafting OL.

      The Panthers are a bad football franchise. We have young receivers who are imperfect. We have had injuries along the OL. But Bryce Young is a downgrade from every single QB that has started for this team since Cam Newton's throwing arm died back in late 2018. And we have invested an absurd amount of resources in order to improve this offense. Multiple things can be true at one time.
