I'm certainly in the camp that Rhule had most of the say but I'm not absolving Fitterer of anything. Frankly, the drafts have stunk. That's on everybody in the offices on Mint St.

Be careful...certain people will tell "they just need more time"

Give me a vacation because I talk about Lamar Jackson?

It's funny im only a problem when I mention Lamar.

Why are yall obssessed with me defending Lamar?

When I talk Stroud/Bryce/AR/Levis/Rodgers nobody is responding to those post. I literally was talking about Levis earlier. Nobody questioned me.

Check my post history it's the same 3 people responding to my Lamar post. Im tired of you guys trying to make me out to be a troll when you have the problem. If you don't like Lamar then don't respond. My goodness!

Brooklyn you come here everyday to get me banned. Find a new slant dude.

I just lurk and say stupid poo occasionally, I too have noticed a slight obsession with LJ in your posts.

Definitely didn't sound like an inside scoop as much as it was emphasizing getting rid players drafted under the last head coach.

Will be interesting seeing how much of an influence Reich has on this draft class. We'll likely get a good idea in the future how much of the last two seasons was Rhule vs. Fitterer compared to what's been reported.

Word was that he got very little reps in practice due to the competition for the starting role.  To be fair...our current coaching staff has seen nothing of him.    I do not know if he has potential or not.  Not sure there is evidence to know if anyone does at this point.

And I blame Rhule for everything...and Tepper for hiring him. 🙂

Maybe they'll put him on IR again this year if his foot isn't fully healed. He's had nothing but bad luck starting with who his head coach was. I believe in 2nd chances.

Our positions on Lamar and Aaron actually put pressure on the Panthers to move up.  If we don't and miss out on a QB in the draft, and all we have under center is Jacoby, not going after these QBs will be a PR nightmare.  I am glad we are not--both QBs have risks, and you would be paying for rep and performance established with other teams.  We are going all in for Stroud or Young--I would be mildly surprised if we are not trading with the Bears soon.

kinda sounds like he has some weird axe to grind rather than providing any news

Crazy how many different things we hear during this part of the off season when there's no real news. I think he's just riffing here and pulling stuff out of thin air to talk about.

Lombardi is often good, but sometimes he's as bad as the rest of them.

There’s gotta be a plan in place that’s been pretty much agreed to by both sides. Being either the Bears or Cards

I don't see a reason to just give him away for nothing, at the very least he should be your #3 depth guy on a cheap rookie deal that could develop into a solid backup. I could also just see this as a Lamar rant where he was being dramatic in attempt to get his point across

Is Lombardi usually reliable with info? I'm not buying it. The way Fitt still talks about Darnold leads me to think there is interest in him in a vet/bridge type signing.

As for Corral, I think it's way too early to give up on him. He had zero coaching and got hurt last year. He's essentially a rookie again this season. No idea what we have in him until he's gets out there with this staff. I don't know if he can be a franchise QB, but a solid backup for sure.

    • Given that the immediate impact we need at edge. We almost certainly address that in Free agency, not in the draft. Same with Linebacker, unless Styles or Allen is still there at 19. I think the same for OT.  What is the position that we could draft in the 1st round and get immediate help in the first is how im approaching their decision-making  I know ill get dragged for this, but im thinking they go DT in the first. A guy that can play right away and be a complement to D.Brown to wreak havoc at the LOS.   So unless a top tier LB is there, I think DT will be the move.
    • I think people forget that by his last season Steve Smith had the ass and he played like it - and for no really good reason other than that other stars were emerging on the team and he didn't want to share the spot light.  He was more of a locker room distraction than he was worth. He went on to have great performances with the Ravens' but G-man made the right move allowing him to move on from here.  I personally think it was addition by subtraction and we don't have a super bowl run with Smith on the roster. Steve Smith remains a narcissist who I've never seen internalize his own culpability when it comes to his relationships with others - it's always somebody else's fault as to why he was forced to act like an asshole. This video is a product ad.  I'm cringed that either of these two Panther greats are party to it.
    • I think the ‘issue’ here is that we had two guys that clashed for several reasons. In some ways they were different, but in other ways they had a lot in common, and sadly they couldn’t see the forest for the trees. Sometimes when you have two people like that together they are either going to love or hate each other, and if it’s the latter, you need someone to mediate and hope the two individuals are capable of putting their differences aside for the common good. In this instance, they couldn’t find a way to move forwards together because I don’t think either guy wanted to play second fiddle to the other. This video basically said neither guy had the tools to bridge that gap and mend that fence, and perhaps also were unwilling to give an inch at that stage in their lives and careers. So a divorce, while unfortunate, was always likely. Do we win the Super Bowl with Smitty and Cam? Well, it’s one of life’s big what ifs for us Panthers fans.
