We've got other places to spend money than on WR much less a possession receiver (although he is a really good one).

Not a great FA receiver market, there are going to be a lot of teams over paying for moderate players.

Looks like the draft for us or a trade afterwards maybe.

The main reason I like Thielen is his nose for the endzone. He had more touchdowns in 2 recent relatively down seasons than DJ has had in his entire 5 year career... That's invaluable to have for a rookie QB. Although we'd still want to give him an explosive WR at some point for between the 20s as Thielen isn't that at this point in his career.

What position is higher need for us than WR right now?

As things are shaking out, there isn't. It's just that this year isn't a great FA market for receivers. And just because it's the best '88 Buick on the lot doesn't make it the best vehicle on the highway.

The tight market is going to make some mid-level guys rich and some bubble guys wealthy, too. I mean, someone is going to pay a Robbie Anderson guy too much money this season. I hope it isn't us, again.

    • Gonna be interesting to watch. All reporting indicates he's gonna be out. From what I'm hearing he's out. The interesting part will be what happens next. The job has been staying within the "family" since Dean retired. But there's no one within the family that makes any sense at all right now. They'll have to go outside the family to hire a coach that's likely to be successful and tension between the school and the basketball family is already high right now with this plot to move the arena to Carolina North because the folks within the basketball family want it to stay at the Dean Dome and they feel misled because they feel like there was never any real consideration of revamping the Dean Dome and this whole evaluation process was just meant to make it look like that was being considered. The best outcome here IMO is that we hire a great coach from outside the family and we revamp the Dean Dome as an olive branch to the family. But the powers that be REALLY want a new arena at Carolina North.
    • yeah outside of 3 shots in a row for arsenal nothing has happened.  I need a quick goal for them and then MC start to press.  Need 2 shots for Arsenal and all 4 still for MC
