oh...also, is he actually throwing? i've heard both that he is and isn't.

I’ve never been able to find an actual source on the rumor he’s not throwing, one guy said it in early March on Twitter but no one of note has reported it.

There is no way he isnt throwing... that would be damning for him. UNLESS..... he doesnt want to play here?

Some people thought we’d tell the guy we wanted not to throw because there was no reason to do it. I always thought that was a little far fetched.

I will say trading up to 1 has been nice for us in making these prospects want to dine with us and let us in a little more. I remember last year when Tomlin kept getting all the dinner dates we wanted.

Definitely good for the evaluation process.

yes he is. NFLN was saying he'd be doing some under center work to show traditional dropback type stuff and of course end with the long balls.

they also said he is expected to still weigh in at +200lbs today...to show the weight gain wasn't just for the combine.

hope all of the Huddle comedians on Team Stroud are ready to fall in line when Young's the pick

No doubt they should and will save for a few. But the same can be said vice versa if he isn't the pick. That's why it's important not to fall head over heels too much. I'm looking forward to seeing him throw.

    • It's just a talking head.  Talking about gambling. If anybody takes the under on 4.5 wins, they're most likely losing their money.   So he's only saying if you want to bet on a possible sleeper, take the over.  It's not rocket science.  Pathetic that so many on the huddle have reduced themselves to posting purely trash every time they hit the submit button.
    • I mean I think the best case scenario has to hit for the Panthers and everyone else in the NFCS has to hit their worst case scenario.  Personally, I think this is the year that NO finally collapses and I think they finish 4th in the division regardless.  ATL is overrated but still likely a 6-9 win team. TB plays tough football, their defense will be there but their success depends on the offense, they too are a 6-9 win team.  The Panthers are probably 4-6 wins at best. If they find some sort of momentum during the season and get 7-8 wins, and TB and ATL struggle then maybe but I find it very unlikely.
    • We screwed up a couple years ago taking Bryce in the first place.  Nobody held a gun to our head to jump from #9 to #1.  Most people who keep up with draft news knew this 2024 QB class was loaded and we should have waited, which I advocated. It was a dumb move and I knew it.  Now we have to roll with Bryce another year.  That's fine, because this 2025 class isn't that great.  I like Ewers, but not super high on him.  If Bryce shows improvement, which I think he will, that should get him at least one more season before we have to decide on if he's the permanent answer or not.  I've said before, the 2026 draft is the next window for a franchise QB if Bryce isn't the answer. Bryce gets this year and next at a minimum.
