I wouldn't want to get multiple late rounders but the type of move that would seem worth it is with a team like DET or GB who have mid-3rds to package with a slight trade down in R2.  There's a nice tier in R2 that's fringe 1st rounder grades (at least for me) that drops right around 50.  So if we feel we get a guy with the same value in a trade down, do it, but not for stuff like late 4ths and beyond.

Getting an extra pick before 93 without dropping too for would be my ultimate objective if I'm Fit.  Maintain a mid-2nd or above, gain a 3rd.

Puts us more in range for some guys that could really help us on both sides of the ball.

Felix EDGE, Benton IDL, Scott WR, Mingo WR, Charbonnet RB, LaPorta  TE, Henley LB, Dorian Williams LB, Spears RB, etc.

yes this^^
Depending on the draft (like this 1) you have the value in different spots in the draft.. Like after the top 15 to 20 you have similar rated prospects from the 2nd round to the 4th…

Yeah, I don't want to see a repeat of the 2021 draft where we attempt to "get our draft picks back" and then end up with what appears to be trending towards one of the worst drafts we have ever had as a franchise

If you want to pickup another third and make a modest move down in the second, I am fine with that. But don't overthink it if there is someone on the board that has a good chance of becoming a starting player.

2011 and 2016 were pretty bad from an overall perspective.  Cam was franchise changing but not getting ANYONE other than him that year wad ridiculous.

2016 was insanely bad, Gettleman panic picking 3 cbs in 1 draft and a bust DT in r1. Bradbury just barely makes this draft maybe not the worst draft ever. And it's not like he was a game changer he was a solid CB (for us anyway).

I would rather move back up into the 60's after picking at 39. It's not a great top end draft but there will be plenty of day 2 guys that can start sooner than later. We're also going to add probably 15-20 UDFA's/FA's afterward considering we have like 26 open roster spots. Plus we have rhules leftover projects like Smith/Barno/Deonte etc that basically need to be coached up from scratch.

I would assume for the next couple of years we are gonna move down the board quite a bit.

1.  We neeed to recoup the pucks we traded.

2.  There are new schemes on both side of the ball.  That means they need a ton of depth on both sides for those schemes.

I also assume we are gonna really push FA signings after the draft.  They are bringing some guys like Bumper Pool and others that may not get drafted in for visits.  They are trying to push to get a leg up signing them after the draft.

I wanted a WR to pair with whichever QB we end up with but seeing as of today our WR room consists of:

Adam Thielen

DJ Chark

Terrace Marshall Jr.

Damiere Byrd

Shi Smith

Lavishka Shenault Jr.

Preston Williams

CJ Saunders

I dont think WR is as high on the priority list as I originally thought. Contract duration and injury concerns should be enough to keep our eyes open on the position. We might have a suprise cut coming down the line.

Imo, if we stay at 39 and a certain corner is on the board, I think they bite. And quickly. That corner is Julius Brents. He's going to develop into a star corner imo but I think the word is alread out. His name is starting to pop up everywhere. I also think we already met with him but I'm not 100% for certain off the top of my head.

Without a trade down, we'd probably be looking at choosing between JB, Darnell Washington, Drew Sanders, Jack Campbell, Avila, Brian Branch, Kincaid, Gibbs, Simpson, Uzomah, Ojulari, White, Musgrave, LaPorta, Downs etc. That's just based off the few dozen mocks I've either seen or did.

That's a helluva pool to choose BPA from. But If we do trade down I'm hoping we stay inside that top 50.
