The hand gun wasn't his. His friend asked him to bring him the handgun.

Now I have a question for you...

Why aren't you questioning the kid who actually committed the crime?

It’s still incredibly poor judgement by Miller. Doesn’t scare me off in the least but it is a small factor to consider especially with the Bridges situation.

Im convinced Miller is the pick after watching this video. Dude was trash talking MJ while at the workout lmao

I like his confidence.

One thing this says to me that others might overlook is it confirms the reason for the lack of development over the years from our young players under Jordan. Instead of viewing these young players on HIS franchise as investments from the viewpoint of an executive with unparalleled wisdom that he can take under his wing in any way or form he views them from the perspective of a competitor as someone to either bend to his will or embarrass. He's operating a franchise as the same guy he was in the 90's. Scottie Pippen is right about some things he's said about Jordan.

There's the stories from the Gerald Wallace days where he laced up and went off on the team trash talking them. 😂

I don't think the team wants to make this pick. I think they want to turn it into a bidding war until the very last second and are bluffing about making it at all. I think they believe the team will fall apart around Lamelo/Miles/Williams/Rozier/PJ/Heyward/Oubre if they don't take decisive action right now to make this a top 4 team in the East by getting someone like Ingram or Zion. Zion needs somewhere to go hide and get back to what he was at Duke. That's the only move we can make that makes us immediate contenders for a solid playoff spot next season at the end of the night. We could really be one of the deepest teams in the East if we could that first until solidified with a real star SF/PF to run the rim with Miles and Williams. Williams in particular showed out HUGE at the end of last year. I know it sounds crazy, but all these failed starters make a hell of a second unit if you can get PJ/Rozier/Oubre etc. to be the 6th and 7th guys off the bench who can take over while the starters get those 15-20 minutes rest.

I was already hoping we take Scoot but after Miller’s press conference I really hope we don’t take Miller. Not sure if he’s just joking or if he really has these dead eyes and is serious. It’s bad enough it took two workouts for him to act engaged. Red flags everywhere. Meanwhile Scoot has proven he can dominate against grown men and is an alpha dog.

The workouts were done when he was recovering from mono and was down 13 pounds.

Scoot is the sure fire, no brainer pick.
it’s why the Bama goon will be selected. Guy has more red flags than a hurricane

MJ making one final terrible decision before relinquishing the reigns by taking Miller over Scoot. Another draft blunder in a storied history of them that the franchise will come to regret. No one is trying to trade up to #2 to draft Miller. All of the trade up talk you've seen is around grabbing Scoot. I'd rather the Hornets trade the pick for Zion or Ingram if they're going to pass up on Scoot. All this garbage talk about fit as if the Hornets have the luxury of thinking fit vs BPA like they didn't just go 27-55.

They've won more than 40 games 4 times in the past 19 seasons, have never won 50 games in the 2nd stint in Charlotte, never advanced past the first round in the 2nd stint (or the 2nd round in combined franchise history). If Miller ends up being the second coming of Paul George, I'll be the first to eat my crow. I'd rather gamble on the mentality of someone like Scoot who has been a professional for 2 years now and has the intangible "it factor" to be great.

Miller also struggled against good competition. In his 10 games vs ranked opponents, he shot 35.2% from the field and 32.6% from 3. After his "breakout" game vs SCar, he finished the season shooting 33.1% from the field and 25% from 3 in a 9 game sample. He put up great stats against mediocre competition. His only truly impressive game against quality competition was vs Gonzaga back in December (those stats included in those ranked team figures, if you strip that game out, it's even more abysmal).

Miller's ceiling is a pretty good 3 and D guy IMO. He's going to be a souped up version of Marvin Williams. A good player, sure, but not a superstar.

Couldn’t have said it better. I think both will be good but we’re not the right place for Scoot to thrive, and I think Miller’s ceiling realistically is about Brandon Ingram. I’d rather gamble on an established star that we know could be a game changer for us than bank on Scoot becoming a franchise shooting guard or Miller becoming Paul George.
